Vacheron Constantin celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Overseas with a new limited edition of one of the collection’s most refined complications. The Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin pairs an 18k white gold case and integrated bracelet with a newly developed azure lacquered dial, while retaining the remarkably slender 8.1mm profile that has defined this perpetual calendar within the modern Overseas family. Powered by the ultra-thin automatic caliber 1120 QP/1 and limited to 200 pieces, the anniversary edition brings a lighter interpretation of the collection’s signature blue palette to a complication capable of mechanically tracking the irregularities of the Gregorian calendar.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is housed in a 41.5mm 18k white gold case measuring just 8.1mm thick. Its streamlined tonneau-shaped architecture combines satin-brushed surfaces with mirror-polished bevels, while the characteristic six-notched bezel evokes the arms of Vacheron Constantin’s Maltese cross emblem. A soft-iron casing provides additional protection against magnetic fields.
A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the ultra-thin caliber 1120 QP/1 and its solid 22k gold oscillating weight, which is engraved with a compass rose in keeping with the Overseas collection’s travel-inspired identity. The Hallmark of Geneva-certified movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève, mirror-polished chamfers, perlage, solarized wheels and micro-polished screw heads.
The push-pull crown maintains the clean profile required by the ultra-thin construction, while sapphire crystals cover both the front and back of the watch. Unlike standard Overseas models equipped with screw-down crowns and higher depth ratings, the Perpetual Calendar prioritizes its exceptionally slender case architecture. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet).
The anniversary edition introduces a lacquered azure dial with a sunburst finish, offering a lighter interpretation of the blue associated with the modern Overseas collection since its 2016 redesign. Three recessed and snailed subdials organize the perpetual calendar indications symmetrically: the month and leap-year cycle appear at 12 o’clock, the date at 3 o’clock and the day of the week at 9 o’clock, each indicated by slender white gold pointer hands.
The 48-month display at noon compresses the calendar cycle into four groups of months, with the leap years highlighted in light blue. The same color appears on the Arabic numerals of the smooth peripheral minute track. At 6 o’clock, the moon-phase aperture features an 18k white gold moon waxing and waning across an azure background decorated with engraved stars, completing the balanced four-part arrangement of the calendar indications.
Applied white gold hour markers and the central white gold hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova that emits a blue glow in darkness. Combined with the lighter azure dial, contrasting white inscriptions and varying sunburst and snailed surfaces, the luminous treatment preserves legibility without disrupting the monochromatic character of the anniversary edition.

The “Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin 30th Anniversary” (Ref#: 4300V/220G-H119) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 1120 QP/1 with 36 jewels, 276 components and a frequency of 19,800 vph, or 2.75Hz. Measuring just 4.05mm thick, the movement incorporates a perpetual calendar module capable of displaying the day, date, month, leap-year cycle and moon phase while automatically accounting for months of different lengths and leap years. A solid 22k gold oscillating weight engraved with a compass rose provides automatic winding, while the movement carries the Hallmark of Geneva certification. Power reserve can last up to 40 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is an integrated 18k white gold bracelet featuring short, articulated and tapering links incorporating the Overseas collection’s half Maltese cross motif. Alternating satin-brushed surfaces and polished bevels echo the finishing of the case, while the triple-blade folding clasp provides 2mm of micro-adjustment in either direction.
Vacheron Constantin’s interchangeable system allows the bracelet to be removed without tools and replaced with either the supplied white rubber
or denim blue rubber strap, both used with an interchangeable 18k white gold pin buckle.
