Breguet
Founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet in Paris in 1775. Breguet is one of the oldest watch companies and it has made various contributions to the advancement of the technology of timepieces. The tourbillon was the result of the hard work and determination of Abraham-Louis Breguet, in 1801. Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette of France enjoyed the unique self-winding watches that Breguet produced and they bought several of the watches.
Breguet is part of the Swatch Group and its timepieces are currently manufactured in the Vallee de Joux in Switzerland. Breguet watches are recognized for their manually engine-turned guilloche dials and their coined edges on the cases.
Collections today include the Classique dress style watches: La Tradition, Classique, Heritage, Type XX XXI XXII, Reine de Naples, the famous Le Reveil du Tsar Alarm watch, and the elegant Retrograde Seconds and various Calendar Watches with Moonphase complications.
