Hublot
Hublot, a Swiss watch making company, was founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco. Carlo Crocco was associated with an Italian Bind Group dynasty, which was best recognized for manufacturing Breil timepieces. In 1976 Crocco left the Italian Bind Group dynasty to establish his own watch making company. Crocco Created the MDM Geneve and focused on manufacturing a timepiece that he named Hublot, French for “porthole”. In the first year Crocco made approximately two million dollars, which established Hublot as a successful timepiece making company. Crocco collaborated with the president of Swatch Group’s Omega division to design the “Big Bang” chronograph collection which won awards such as “Watch of the Year,” “Sport’s Watch Prize” and the “2005 Design Prize”. Since then Hublot has opened their first brand store in Paris and a second store in Saint-Tropez. They currently have a new flagship store in New York City.
