With the final Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort set for August 2026, TAG Heuer is marking the occasion with a suitably vivid edition of its Formula 1 Solargraph 38mm. Inspired by the unmistakable orange that fills the circuit’s grandstands each race weekend, the new limited edition gives the heritage-inspired Solargraph a considerably bolder personality while celebrating one of Formula 1’s most recognizable crowds.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph 38mm Orange is housed in a 38mm stainless-steel case with a fully sandblasted finish, its compact proportions drawing inspiration from the original Formula 1 introduced in 1986 as the first watch released under the TAG Heuer name. Surrounding the case is the collection’s characteristic bidirectional “daisy” bezel, executed in lightweight and durable TH-Polylight and rendered in orange to establish the watch’s connection to Zandvoort.
Around the back, a screw-down stainless-steel caseback maintains the watch’s robust and functional construction.
Its solid design conceals the light-powered TH50-00 movement within while complementing the sandblasted treatment of the case.
The crown follows the practical sporting character of the Formula 1 collection, providing control over the time and date functions. A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial, providing increased clarity in changing light conditions. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).
The dial is finished in grey opaline, providing a neutral backdrop for the brighter elements that distinguish this Dutch Grand Prix edition. An orange and red minute track encircles the display, visually connecting the dial to the orange TH-Polylight bezel while maintaining the clean and highly legible arrangement characteristic of the modern Formula 1 Solargraph.
Applied hour markers are joined by red lacquered hands, with the TAG Heuer shield positioned prominently within the dial and a date aperture at 3 o’clock completing the practical display. The combination of grey, orange and red creates a more assertive appearance than the pastel-toned Formula 1 Solargraph models introduced earlier in the year.
The contrasting colors also emphasize the layered construction of the dial, from its peripheral minute scale to the raised hour markers and centrally mounted hands. The indexes and hands feature eggshell-colored Super-LumiNova, providing low-light visibility while introducing a warmer vintage-inspired detail against the otherwise contemporary grey and orange palette.
TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph 38mm Dutch GP
The “TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph 38mm Dutch GP” (References below) is powered by the solar quartz movement, caliber TH50-00. It comes equipped with hours, minutes and seconds indications, along with a date display at 3 o’clock. The movement can be powered by both natural and artificial light, with one minute of direct sunlight providing approximately one day of autonomy and a full charge requiring less than 40 hours of light. Power reserve can last up to 10 months on a full charge.
Mounted on this watch is either an orange rubber strap secured by a stainless steel pin buckle or a sandblasted stainless-steel three-link bracelet secured by a folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.
The orange rubber option extends the vivid color of the bezel onto the wrist for the strongest connection to the Dutch Grand Prix theme, while the steel bracelet creates a more restrained contrast with the grey opaline dial. Combined with the compact 38mm case, both configurations retain the lightweight, casual character central to the Formula 1 collection.
Both versions are available beginning in August 2026.
