Panerai expands its use of advanced materials with the new Luminor Marina PAM01707, pairing one of the brand’s most iconic dive watches with its proprietary Carbotech composite. 
Retaining the unmistakable 44mm Luminor silhouette, signature crown-protecting bridge, and sandwich dial, the latest model delivers a significantly lighter wearing experience while drawing inspiration from Panerai’s historic military timepieces through its clean, no-date display and vintage-style details.
The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM01707 is housed in a 44mm case crafted entirely from Carbotech, Panerai’s proprietary carbon composite produced by compressing layers of carbon fiber with PEEK, a high-performance polymer. The matte black material offers exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and remarkable lightness, while its layered construction creates a distinctive marbled pattern that ensures every case is visually unique.
Turning the watch over reveals a DLC-coated titanium screw-down caseback that enhances durability while helping reduce overall weight. Together with the matching DLC-coated titanium trapezoidal pin buckle, the combination of lightweight materials allows the watch to weigh only around 100 grams despite its substantial dimensions, making it noticeably more comfortable on the wrist than its steel counterparts.
Protecting the dial is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, offering excellent clarity while withstanding the rigors of everyday wear. On the right side of the case sits Panerai’s patented crown-protecting bridge, 
one of the brand’s most recognizable design elements, which secures the winding crown with its distinctive locking lever while helping safeguard it against impacts and maintain a reliable seal. 
Together with the robust case construction, these features ensure the watch is equally suited for daily use and professional diving applications. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (984 feet).
The matte black dial embraces a distinctly vintage-inspired aesthetic, recalling the clean and highly legible military instruments that helped establish Panerai’s reputation. Executed in the brand’s signature sandwich construction, the upper dial reveals a lower luminous layer through precisely cut openings, creating depth while maximizing nighttime visibility.
Unlike many current Luminor Marina models, the PAM01707 omits the date display entirely, resulting in a cleaner, more symmetrical appearance. Beige Super-LumiNova fills the large Arabic numerals, hour markers, and hands, emitting a bright green glow that reinforces the watch’s professional diving credentials.
Positioned at 9 o’clock, the small seconds display serves both historical and practical purposes. Originally designed to allow military divers to verify at a glance that the movement was operating underwater, it remains an iconic feature of Panerai’s classic dive watches.

The “Officine Panerai Luminor Marina PAM01707 Carbotech” (Ref#: PAM01707) is powered by the automatic Panerai Calibre P.9010, manufactured by ValFleurier. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) with 31 jewels, the movement features twin barrels, independently adjustable local hour hand, hacking seconds, and displays the hours, minutes, and small seconds. Power reserve can last up to 72 hours (3 days), when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is a brown vintage-style calf leather strap secured by a DLC-coated titanium trapezoidal pin buckle. Beige contrast stitching complements the warm luminous accents on the dial, while Panerai also includes an additional black rubber strap, allowing the watch to transition easily between everyday wear and aquatic adventures.
