Alongside the new steel Luminor, Panerai introduces the Luminor Forged Titanium PAM01629, a technically advanced interpretation of its historic 47mm military watch. While preserving the unmistakable silhouette of the 1950s Luminor, this limited edition debuts an entirely new forged titanium construction that makes each case visually unique. Combining innovative metallurgy with Panerai’s traditional tool-watch philosophy, the PAM01629 represents one of the brand’s most technically intriguing releases of the year.
The Panerai Luminor Forged Titanium PAM01629 features a 47mm case crafted entirely from forged titanium, including the bezel, crown-protecting bridge, locking lever, and case body. Produced by bonding different grades of titanium under extreme heat and pressure, the process creates distinctive wave-like patterns across the surface, ensuring that every watch possesses a unique appearance while remaining approximately 40% lighter than an equivalent stainless steel case.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback displaying the hand-wound manufacture caliber P.3000. The transparent caseback allows a full view of the oversized movement while complementing the watch’s blend of traditional mechanics and advanced case technology.

A domed sapphire crystal recreates the appearance of vintage acrylic while providing modern scratch resistance. The signature crown-protecting bridge and locking lever maintain the historic Luminor silhouette while ensuring reliable sealing and everyday durability. Water resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The anthracite sun-brushed sandwich dial perfectly complements the textured forged titanium case, creating subtle reflections that shift with changing light. The restrained monochromatic palette reinforces the technical character of the watch while maintaining exceptional legibility.
Large cut-out numerals and hour markers reveal beige Super-LumiNova beneath the upper dial plate, preserving Panerai’s iconic sandwich construction. A small seconds display remains positioned at 9 o’clock, maintaining the familiar layout established by the brand’s historic military references.
The vintage-inspired hands are also treated with beige Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent visibility after dark. Together with the anthracite dial, the luminous display creates a balanced blend of contemporary materials and classic Panerai design language.
