Bvlgari Titanio Chronograph

Bvlgari continues its exploration of unconventional materials with the introduction of the Titanio Chronograph, a new interpretation of the brand’s distinctive Aluminium collection unveiled during Geneva Watch Days 2026. Originally introduced in 1998, the Aluminium collection challenged traditional luxury watchmaking conventions by combining lightweight metal with black rubber, creating a recognizable sport-chic aesthetic. The new Titanio Chronograph (Ref. 104299) builds on this heritage with a 41mm grade 5 titanium case, a contrasting black rubber bezel and an automatic chronograph movement, giving the familiar design a darker and more technical character. Its rounded architecture retains the distinctive design of the Aluminium collection, with a black rubber bezel featuring the signature Bvlgari Bvlgari double-logo inscription. The sandblasted titanium surfaces provide a subdued metallic finish, contrasting with the black rubber elements and reinforcing the watch’s contemporary sporting character.

The caseback is crafted from titanium with a black DLC coating, complementing the darker components of the case. Its construction maintains the collection’s emphasis on lightweight materials and practical durability, while the contrasting finishes distinguish the Titanio Chronograph from the traditional aluminum models.

The crown is positioned at 3 o’clock between two chronograph pushers, providing access to winding, time-setting and chronograph functions. The crown and pushers feature sandblasted titanium surfaces with black DLC-treated accents, complementing the overall case design. A sapphire crystal protects the dial and its multiple chronograph indications. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).

The Bvlgari Titanio Chronograph features a matte black dial with contrasting circular chronograph counters decorated with an azurage finish. The textured subdials introduce a subtle play of light against the darker background, reinforcing the technical appearance of the watch. White hour indexes and grey galvanic-treated hands provide additional contrast, maintaining the graphic aesthetic associated with the Aluminium collection.

The chronograph display incorporates multiple recessed counters for measuring elapsed time, complemented by a central chronograph seconds hand and a tachymeter scale. The latter allows the wearer to calculate average speed over a measured distance when used in conjunction with the chronograph. A date aperture positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock provides an additional calendar indication without interrupting the arrangement of the chronograph counters.

Super-LumiNova is applied to the grey galvanic-treated hands, improving visibility in low-light conditions. The contrast between the luminous hands, white indexes and matte black dial ensures clear differentiation between the timekeeping indications and chronograph displays. Meanwhile, the azurage finishing of the counters adds depth to the dial without departing from its restrained monochromatic color scheme.

The “Bvlgari Titanio Chronograph” (Ref. 104299) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber B381, based on a Sellita SW300 movement fitted with a Dubois-Dépraz chronograph module and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph, or 4Hz. The automatic movement comes equipped with central hours, minutes and seconds, chronograph functions for measuring elapsed time, and a date display positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Power reserve can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.

Mounted on this watch is a black rubber strap incorporating sandblasted titanium links that complement the case’s lightweight construction and matte finish. The strap features a hook-and-loop fastening system, providing an adjustable fit while preserving the sporty appearance of the Aluminium collection. An additional titanium bracelet is also available, offering an alternative configuration with a more integrated metallic design.
