As the official sponsor and timekeeper of the Mille Miglia since 1988, Chopard maintains one of the longest and most authentic partnerships between a watch brand and a motorsport event. The Mille Miglia collection has become a natural extension of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s passion for classic automobiles, combining Swiss watchmaking with the spirit of one of Italy’s most legendary road races. For the 44th edition of the Mille Miglia, Chopard introduces the new Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu Racing Edition, a limited-production model inspired by vintage racing dashboards and the colors of the open road.
The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu Racing Edition is housed in a 43mm case crafted from the brand’s proprietary Lucent Steel, an alloy made from at least 80% recycled material. Measuring 11.43mm in thickness, the case combines brushed and polished surfaces that enhance its sporty yet refined character. Despite its generous dimensions, the short, downward-curving lugs help the watch wear comfortably on a wide variety of wrists.Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback secured by eight screws. Through the transparent display, owners can admire the automatic manufacture movement within, including its openworked rotor and industrial-inspired finishing. The exhibition caseback also reinforces the mechanical nature of the watch while maintaining the collection’s sporting identity.The screw-down crown is flanked by protective crown guards and features an engraved steering wheel motif, a subtle tribute to the automotive world that inspired the collection. Above sits a glare-proof sapphire crystal, while the fixed bezel incorporates a black aluminium insert engraved with a 60-minute and 60-second scale. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).
The dial is the defining feature of this 2026 Racing Edition. Rendered in a distinctive blue-grey tone, it features a pronounced grained texture intended to evoke the appearance and feel of asphalt. The color is both modern and understated, offering a welcome alternative to the black dials typically associated with motorsport-inspired watches.Large metallic Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock are paired with applied hour markers and broad faceted hands. The black flange surrounding the dial continues the monochromatic theme, while the date display is positioned at 3 o’clock and highlighted by the collection’s signature red Mille Miglia arrow.Additional visual energy comes from carefully placed red accents throughout the display. The tip of the central seconds hand, the “E” section of the power reserve gauge, and the Mille Miglia arrow all provide contrast against the cooler dial tones. The hands, numerals and markers are filled with black Super-LumiNova, ensuring legibility in low-light conditions without disrupting the watch’s distinctive color palette.

The “Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu Racing Edition” (Ref#: 168566-3022) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 01.08-C with 40 jewels, 251 components, and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with COSC chronometer certification, a hacking seconds function, date display, and a power reserve indicator inspired by vintage automotive fuel gauges. Power reserve can last up to 60 hours, when fully wound.Mounted on this watch is a black textile strap featuring a tyre-tread motif on its rubber lining, secured by a Lucent Steel folding clasp. The sporty texture and automotive-inspired detailing reinforce the racing heritage of the collection, while the dark color scheme complements the blue-grey dial and black bezel insert.
