Breitling revisits the heritage of its iconic Navitimer collection with the introduction of the Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41, bringing a hand-wound manufacture movement into the permanent lineup. Inspired by the classic Navitimers of the 1960s, famously worn by racing drivers and pilots Jim Clark and Graham Hill, the new model combines a 41mm stainless-steel case with reverse-panda dials in black or blue and the historic Twin Jet logo. Powered by the COSC-certified manufacture caliber B09, the chronograph offers a 70-hour power reserve and the familiar circular slide rule that has defined the Navitimer since its introduction in 1952.
The Breitling Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 is housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 41mm in diameter, 13mm thick and 47.09mm from lug to lug.

Its classical round architecture retains the distinctive proportions of the Navitimer collection, with elegantly curved lugs, polished surfaces and a bidirectional rotating bezel incorporating the signature circular slide rule. Originally developed as a practical calculation instrument for pilots, the slide rule remains one of the collection’s most recognizable design elements.

A screwed stainless-steel caseback incorporates a sapphire crystal window, providing a view of the hand-wound manufacture caliber B09. The transparent construction reveals the chronograph movement and its mechanical architecture, allowing the wearer to appreciate the movement’s traditional construction and finishing.

The non-screw-locked crown is positioned at 3 o’clock between two chronograph pushers, providing access to winding, time-setting and chronograph functions. The crown incorporates two gaskets, while a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).

The Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 is available with either a black or blue reverse-panda dial, both featuring contrasting white chronograph counters and a white peripheral rehaut.

The design draws inspiration from the Navitimers of the 1960s, emphasizing the collection’s traditional instrument-style layout while introducing a restrained contemporary finish. The historic Twin Jet logo appears in gold beneath the 12 o’clock position, reinforcing the connection to Breitling’s aviation heritage.

The familiar chronograph arrangement features central hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, accompanied by three recessed counters displaying running seconds, elapsed minutes and elapsed hours. The absence of a date window preserves the balanced appearance of the reverse-panda layout, while the peripheral slide-rule scales provide the additional calculation functions historically associated with the Navitimer.

Super-LumiNova is applied to the hour and minute hands, Arabic numerals and hour indexes, maintaining visibility in low-light conditions. The contrast between the dark dial surfaces, white counters and luminous indications reinforces the instrument-inspired character of the watch, while the gold Twin Jet emblem introduces a subtle decorative accent.
