Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Golden Jubilee Edition
One of Singapore's most respected watch retailers has chosen to craft a limited edition Blancpain to celebrate their 50th anniversary. This commemoration highlights their Golden Jubilee which also led to a special Patek Philippe Calatrava. But, today our focus goes to this "Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe" in a two-tone case with several exclusive decorations.The 43mm case is made of grade 23 titanium with a satin-brushed finish. This alloy contains aluminum and vanadium, which is rarely used in the watch industry because it requires some laborious machining work. But, unlike the previous 2021 model this anniversary edition has added an extra alloy that introduces a two-tone status.
On the flip-side is a sapphire exhibition case back, which allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It is decorated by purple jewels, golden gears, and a snailed oscillating weight engraved with the Blancpain logo. Plus the sapphire crystal has been directly printed on with the inscription “Cortina Watch 50th Anniversary Since 1972”, to highlight this milestone celebration.
Mounted to the case is a unidirectional Sedna® gold bezel, which features a bakelite insert that assists with timing aquatic dives. It also includes a matching setting-crown, made of this proprietary Sedna® alloy that consists of a gold, copper and palladium mixture. All topped by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Water-resistance on this timepiece can reach up to 300m (984 feet).
Time is exhibited on a black dial with a hand-crafted vertical satin finish, while circling around are a series of rounded and rectangular index markers made of Sedna® gold. 
The rectangular baton-style central hands are based on the original vintage look of this model, which are referred to as “syringe-hands” by some watch enthusiasts. These central hands and hour index markers have all been fitted with a luminescent coating for an enhanced legibility. 
The Blancpain logo and model name written in a white font appear on the upper-half of the dial. Unlike the previous “Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Mokarran” edition, this release has once again included a date aperture between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions, just as the previous “Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Titanium” did.

The “Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Golden Jubilee Edition'' (Ref#: N/A) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 1315, with 35 jewels and 227 components. Also features a Glucydur balance with gold regulation screws. Power reserve on this timepiece can last up to 125 hours (5 days). 
Mounted to the watch is a black fabric strap, secured to the wrist by a pin buckle. A titanium bracelet is available as an additional purchase. Although it doesn’t replicate the two-tone case theme, adding a titanium only bracelet would still enhance its presence. This is a limited edition of only 50 manufactured pieces.
