Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding iN Pink Gold

Audemars Piguet has kicked off 2024 with an array of new offerings, including fresh iterations of the Royal Oaks, Offshores, and Code 11.59 series. Amidst the excitement for standout launches like the John Mayer Perpetual Calendar and the Sand Gold Royal Oak, some of the newer models might not garner as much attention. However, aficionados of more compact Royal Oaks will be pleased to find two new additions to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 34mm collection. These include a model entirely in pink gold featuring a striking new vivid pink dial, and a two-tone version complemented by a gray dial. The 34 mm case with a height of 8.8 mm is available in either 18k pink gold or a two-tone option in stainless-steel with some pink gold elements.
Both were crafted with a mix of polished accents and a vertically brushed surface finish. Mounted to the case is AP’s signature octagonal bezel also with a vertical satin-brushed finish and eight exposed 18k white gold screws. On the flipside is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It also features a rose gold oscillating weight adorned by the AP logo.It comes equipped with a screw-down crown in 18k pink gold for both models, which matches the embossed AP logo at the center. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet).Time is displayed on the signature Audemars Piguet dial, characterized by the "Grande Tapisserie" design, which is a motif of large squares crafted through a meticulous hand-guilloché technique. For these releases it can be had with a vibrant pink dial or a monochromatic gray dial, both complemented by rose gold applied index markers. The color palette harmonizes nicely with its surroundings, be it the pink with the pink gold, or the gray blending with the stainless-steel components. Beyond the gleaming gold time markers and the Audemars Piguet logo at the top, the dial's charm is amplified by its distinctive pattern design. In common both models also have rose gold central hands and hour index markers, which have all been given a luminescent filling, for an enhanced legibility. There is also a date aperture in the 3 o’clock position with a background matching each dial hue  to blend in seamlessly, plus white or black numerals to stand out.
