Audemars Piguet expands its Royal Oak collection with two new Minute Repeater Supersonnerie models, combining traditional haute horlogerie with the manufacturer's patented acoustic technology. First introduced in 2016 following eight years of research and development, the Supersonnerie system was designed to improve the volume, clarity and resonance of minute repeater mechanisms. The latest additions include a titanium edition with a smoked green sunburst dial and an 18k pink gold version featuring a brown Grande Tapisserie dial. Both models retain the Royal Oak’s distinctive integrated bracelet design and are powered by the manually wound caliber 2953, incorporating the manufacturer's innovative Supersonnerie soundboard.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie models are housed in cases measuring 42mm in diameter and 14mm thick. The titanium edition (Ref. 26591TI) features the lightweight metal throughout its case construction,

while the pink gold version (Ref. 26591OR) introduces 18k pink gold to the Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie series for the first time. Both retain the collection’s signature octagonal bezel secured by eight hexagonal screws, with alternating satin-brushed surfaces and polished bevels emphasizing the geometric architecture of the case.

The caseback incorporates Audemars Piguet’s patented Supersonnerie soundboard, a specialized acoustic component developed to enhance the projection and clarity of the minute repeater’s chimes. Unlike conventional minute repeater constructions, the gongs are attached to a resonating soundboard positioned between the movement and the outer caseback. This arrangement allows the sound to be amplified and projected more effectively, while a specially developed regulator minimizes unwanted mechanical noise during the chiming sequence.

The screw-locked crown is positioned at 3 o’clock, while a sliding mechanism on the left side of the case activates the minute repeater complication. Both models feature sapphire crystals protecting their respective dials, complemented by screw-locked casebacks that integrate the Supersonnerie acoustic system. Water-resistance can reach up to 20 meters (66 feet).

The titanium Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie features a smoked green dial decorated with a satin-finished sunburst motif. Its color gradually darkens toward the outer edge, creating a subtle gradient that contrasts with the titanium case. A tone-on-tone small seconds subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock, maintaining the symmetrical arrangement of the time display while allowing the green dial to remain the focal point.
The pink gold edition adopts a more traditional Royal Oak aesthetic with a brown Grande Tapisserie dial, featuring the collection’s recognizable geometric pattern. A matching small seconds counter at 6 o’clock complements the textured surface, while pink gold hands and applied hour markers coordinate with the warm tones of the case. Both models retain a peripheral minute track and central hour and minute hands, providing a restrained display despite the complexity of their movements.
On the titanium version, rhodium-toned pink gold hour markers and white gold hands are filled with luminescent material, providing contrast against the smoked green background. The pink gold edition similarly incorporates luminous hour markers and hands, enhancing readability in low-light conditions.
The contrasting dial finishes distinguish the two models, with the titanium version emphasizing a contemporary gradient effect and the pink gold edition highlighting the traditional Grande Tapisserie pattern.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie
The “Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie” (References below) is powered by the manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 2953 with 32 jewels, 362 components and a frequency of 21,600 vph, or 3Hz. Measuring 30mm in diameter and 6mm thick, the movement provides central hours and minutes, a small seconds display at 6 o’clock and a minute repeater complication incorporating Audemars Piguet’s patented Supersonnerie technology. Developed through research involving the manufacture’s watchmakers, musicians and researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), the system uses an acoustically optimized soundboard and gongs to improve the clarity and projection of the chiming mechanism. A specially designed regulator also reduces mechanical noise during operation. Power reserve can last up to 72 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on these watches are integrated bracelets crafted from materials matching their respective cases. The titanium edition features a lightweight titanium bracelet with alternating satin-brushed surfaces and polished bevels, maintaining the Royal Oak’s distinctive integrated construction.

The pink gold version is fitted with an 18k pink gold bracelet featuring the same architectural design and contrasting finishes.

Both bracelets are secured by Audemars Piguet folding clasps, providing a cohesive appearance that extends the case’s geometric design around the wrist.
