Zenith’s journey through design innovation continues with the introduction of the Defy Skyline White Ceramic Skeleton, a modern interpretation of their 1969 Defy. This new model blends historical elements with advanced materials, presenting a stark white ceramic case and bracelet that boldly frame its intricate skeletonized dial. As a fresh addition in 2024, this watch not only captures the essence of Zenith’s pioneering spirit but also emphasizes the brand’s commitment to contemporary aesthetics and cutting-edge mechanical artistry.
This watch showcases a 41mm white ceramic case, which stands out with its 11.6mm profile. Highlighting its aesthetic are the polished and brushed surfaces that bring a luxurious depth to its barrel-shaped design. The distinctive 12-sided bezel adds an extra layer of complexity, enhancing its modern architectural feel.
On the flipside, the watch features a screw-down crown and is secured by sapphire crystals on both the front and back, allowing for a comprehensive view into the skeletonized heart of the watch. 
The backside’s exhibition style showcases the intricate details of the movement within, bordered by the sturdy ceramic of the case back.
It comes equipped with a knurled screw-down crown adorned with Zenith’s iconic star emblem. The watch presents a contemporary and sleek profile, seamlessly tapering down to its robust lugs.
This aesthetic is accentuated by a flat sapphire crystal, enhancing the watch’s block-like form. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
All is displayed on a blue open-worked dial that forms a four-pointed star, reflective of Zenith’s unique design ethos. It is a modern reinterpretation of the Zenith “double Z” logo, circa 1960’s. 
Then time is exhibited by rhodium-applied hour index markers, followed by a sloped flange with a printed minute ring. Around the periphery this minute track integrates seamlessly with the overall design, maintaining the watch’s clean and modern look while ensuring time-telling precision.
There is a small counter that only features the numeral “10”, which has a hand constantly running 1/10th of a second, in steady jumps of fixed increments. It is capable of completing one full revolution every 10 seconds. The bold design is not only about aesthetics but also about enhancing legibility.

The “Zenith Defy Skyline White Ceramic Skeleton” (Ref#: 49.9301.3620/79.I001) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber El Primero 3620 SK with 26 jewels, 228 components, and 36,000 vph. It comes equipped with a highly efficient bi-directional automatic winding mechanism. Power reserve can last up to 60 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a tapered H-link bracelet crafted from brushed and polished white ceramic, secured to the wrist by a sturdy butterfly-style folding clasp made from brushed stainless steel. 
For added versatility, the Zenith Defy Skyline White Ceramic Skeleton also includes a textured white rubber strap, complete with a tool-free strap changing system, allowing for easy customization according to the wearer’s preference.
