Back in 2021, Zenith launched their “Chronomaster Sport” line in a black or white dial option. As the brand states this collection represents “an exceptional fusion of intriguing complications and contemporary design, CHRONOMASTER SPORT inspires you to push your boundaries and make your vision a reality”. Its latest release drew inspiration from the iconic "DeLuca" and "Rainbow" references of the 1980s and 1990s. The new “Zenith Chronomaster Sport“ comes with a metallic blue dial that “resembles the vast night sky filled with dreams and possibilities”.
The Chronomaster Sport Rainbow is housed in a 41mm 18k white gold case that balances sporty proportions with luxurious materials. Measuring 13.6mm thick, the case maintains Zenith’s signature mix of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined yet dynamic look. The standout feature is its gem-set bezel, adorned with a rainbow gradient of 40 baguette-cut sapphires (~3.9 carats) and 10 baguette-cut diamonds (~1 carat), which serve as second markers.Turning the watch over, the sapphire crystal caseback provides a view of the high-frequency El Primero 3600 movement. The edges of the caseback and the lugs are polished to match the case’s luxurious appeal. The pushers and screw-down crown, featuring Zenith’s five-pointed star, complete the functional yet sophisticated profile.
All  topped by a domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating, ensuring excellent visibility. Its screw-down crown and pushers contribute to a solid 100 meters (330 feet) of water resistance, making this gemstone-set timepiece as robust as it is glamorous.
The Chronomaster Sport Rainbow features a striking black lacquered dial, which provides a bold contrast to the brilliance of the rainbow baguette-cut sapphire hour markers. These meticulously set gemstones transition seamlessly across the spectrum, adding vibrancy to the otherwise deep, glossy background. At the heart of the display are Zenith’s signature tri-color overlapping sub-dials, finished with a snailed texture in shades of grey and blue, preserving the brand’s hallmark aesthetic.A date window is positioned discreetly at 4:30, maintaining the balance of the dial while offering additional functionality. The rhodium-plated hour and minute hands are faceted for enhanced light play, ensuring a luxurious finish. They follow the same elegant shape seen across the Chronomaster Sport collection, reinforcing the model’s sporty yet refined character.For optimal legibility in low-light conditions, Super-LumiNova is applied to the hands and indices, ensuring the watch remains readable at all times. The central chronograph hand, rhodium-plated with a star-shaped counterweight, completes a full rotation every 10 seconds, showcasing the El Primero 3600’s impressive 1/10th of a second precision.

The “Zenith Chronomaster Sport Rainbow” (Ref: 45.3104.3600/21.M3100) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber El Primero 3600 with 35 jewels, 319 parts, and 36,000 vph. This is the same redesigned movement that was developed to pay tribute to the legendary El Primero movement. Power reserve can last up to 60 hours, when fully wound.Mounted on the watch is a three-link 18k white gold bracelet, featuring brushed and polished surfaces for a refined yet sporty look, while secured by a safety folding clasp.
