The Zenith Chronomaster Revival A384 has become one of the manufacturer's most successful heritage-inspired collections, faithfully recreating one of the three original watches launched alongside the groundbreaking El Primero movement in 1969. For 2026, Zenith celebrates 250 years of American independence with the new Zenith Chronomaster Revival A384 Liberty II. Available in stainless-steel or forged carbon, these limited editions combine the iconic A384 design with red, white, and blue details inspired by the American flag, while also paying tribute to the influence American industrial manufacturing had on Zenith founder Georges Favre-Jacot and the creation of the brand’s integrated manufacture.
The Chronomaster Revival A384 Liberty II is offered in two case materials: stainless-steel or forged carbon. Both versions measure 37mm in diameter and 12.6mm thick, faithfully reproducing the angular tonneau-shaped profile of the original 1969 A384. The steel edition features a radial-brushed bezel contrasted by polished bevels, crown, and pushers, while the forged carbon version showcases the material’s distinctive marbled texture for a more contemporary appearance.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback displaying the El Primero 400 movement inside. The rear crystal is framed by a commemorative engraving celebrating the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, reinforcing the patriotic theme of this special edition while allowing a clear view of the legendary high-frequency chronograph calibre.

The pump-style chronograph pushers and signed crown remain faithful to the original A384 design. Sapphire crystals protect both the front and rear of the watch, preserving the vintage aesthetic while offering modern durability and clarity. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet).

The dial adopts the classic panda configuration that made the original A384 so distinctive. A white lacquered background serves as the foundation, contrasted by three deep blue snailed sub-dials arranged in the familiar El Primero layout with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and running seconds at 9 o’clock.

Applied faceted hour markers frame the dial and are paired with matching hour and minute hands. The patriotic theme is introduced through carefully executed details, including the red, white, and blue colour palette and the unique chronograph seconds hand featuring thirteen alternating red and white stripes as a reference to the original American colonies.

The contrasting lacquered and snailed surfaces create depth throughout the display, while the peripheral tachymeter scale enhances the sporty character of the watch. Subtle commemorative touches include a red “250” marker on the tachymeter scale and a red number “4” on the date disc.

Super-LumiNova C1 is applied to the markers, hands, and chronograph seconds hand to ensure visibility in low-light conditions.
