The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding Ultra-Thin 2500V marks one of the most consequential releases in the modern history of the Overseas collection. More than a new reference, it represents the end of the legendary calibre 1120 era and the beginning of a fully modern in-house ultra-thin movement architecture for Vacheron Constantin’s integrated sports watch. Presented at Watches & Wonders 2026, the new Overseas Self-Winding Ultra-Thin introduces calibre 2550, an entirely new manufacture movement developed over seven years. With its slimmer proportions, platinum construction, and striking salmon-coloured dial, the 2500V positions itself directly against the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin and the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5811G in the highly competitive world of ultra-thin luxury sports watches.
The Overseas Self-Winding Ultra-Thin 2500V is housed in a 39.5mm platinum case measuring just 7.35mm thick, making it the thinnest Overseas ever produced. The proportions feel noticeably more refined than the previous generation, while the combination of brushed surfaces and polished bevels preserves the collection’s sporty yet elegant identity. Crafted entirely from 950 platinum, including the bracelet, the watch carries a reassuring weight on the wrist despite its remarkably slim profile.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback displaying the new calibre 2550 in full view. The movement fills the rear opening beautifully, showcasing the platinum micro-rotor, Geneva stripes, circular graining, and finely decorated bridges. The architecture feels clean and modern, while the Hallmark of Geneva finishing reinforces the high-horology ambitions of this new generation Overseas.

The integrated crown sits flush against the slim case profile and maintains the clean symmetry expected from an ultra-thin sports watch. Both the front and rear sapphire crystals help preserve the thin silhouette while allowing maximum visibility of the dial and movement. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet).

The dial is presented in a salmon-colored lacquer finish, paired with a sunburst satin-brushed center and a contrasting velvet-textured minute track. It is a color combination strongly associated with collectible platinum watches, and here it gives the Overseas a far warmer and more elegant personality than previous ultra-thin references.

Applied 18k white gold hour markers and matching baton-style hands maintain the clean aesthetic expected from an ultra-thin integrated sports watch. In keeping with the classic formula established by the original luxury sports watches of the 1970s, Vacheron Constantin opted for a no-date and no-seconds layout, reinforcing symmetry and visual balance across the dial.

The lacquered salmon surface reacts beautifully to changing light, shifting from soft copper tones to richer pink-gold hues depending on the angle. The layered finishing between the central section and outer track adds subtle depth without overwhelming the minimalist display. Blue Super-LumiNova applied to the hands and markers introduces discreet contrast while preserving legibility in low-light conditions.

The “Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding Ultra-Thin 2500V” (Ref#: 2500V/210P-H028) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 2550 with 25 jewels, 153 components, and 21,600 vph. It comes equipped with a platinum micro-rotor and suspended double-barrel architecture. Power reserve can last up to 80 hours, when fully wound.

Mounted on this watch is an integrated 950 platinum bracelet with the Overseas collection’s signature half Maltese cross-shaped links, secured by a triple-blade folding clasp with comfort adjustment system.
