Tudor has expanded the Ranger collection with two key updates: a new 36mm case and a Dune White dial variant. Previously offered only with a black dial in a 39mm format, the Ranger now caters to a broader range of wrists and visual preferences. Both versions maintain the line’s rugged, utilitarian spirit while introducing new proportions and dial contrast without straying from the field watch ethos.
The new Tudor Ranger is available in two stainless-steel case sizes: 36mm x 11mm and 39mm x 12mm. Both versions feature fully satin-brushed finishing that emphasizes the utilitarian roots of the model, along with a smooth bezel that keeps visual distractions to a minimum. The proportions feel balanced and compact, particularly with the 36mm variant offering a subtle wrist presence suited for everyday wear.
At the rear, a solid steel screwed caseback provides durability and visual continuity with the rest of the case. While it forgoes a display window, the sealed caseback enhances the field-ready character of the Ranger, in keeping with its heritage as a reliable exploration tool.
The screw-down crown is adorned with the Tudor Rose emblem and helps guarantee the watch’s practical performance. All topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. This domed crystal adds a vintage touch, while ensuring modern scratch resistance and distortion-free legibility. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The Tudor Ranger retains its signature dial layout with Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock, paired with rectangular hour markers and a clean minute track. In this update, the most noticeable change is the addition of a new “Dune White” dial variant. Slightly grained in texture, the pale surface introduces a lighter tone while preserving the model’s minimalist aesthetic and symmetry.
On the Dune White dial, the numerals and hour markers are printed in black for clear contrast. While they are not luminescent themselves, small luminous pips are placed on the outer minute track to preserve nighttime readability.
The hands are blackened and filled with beige lume, echoing the color scheme of the previous black dial version, but adapted for the brighter background.
The black dial option remains in the lineup, featuring beige luminous Arabic numerals and hands in a tone-on-tone palette suited for more traditional tool-watch appeal. In both variants, the dial remains dateless for balance, with no applied elements or excessive decoration. A subtle domed profile enhances legibility while reinforcing the watch’s vintage character.
