Tudor Black Bay Chrono iN Pink

Just before Watches & Wonders 2024, Tudor took the wraps off the Black Bay Chrono "Pink" in a surprise announcement, stepping away from its usual utilitarian and sometimes military-themed designs. Tudor also shared news of its collaboration with Inter Miami FC, taking on the role of the Official Timekeeper for the soccer team co-owned by David Beckham, who is also a Tudor ambassador. Notably, the team's official color is light pink. Additionally, Tudor revealed that the watch was developed in partnership with another one of its ambassadors, Jay Chou, the celebrated Taiwanese singer and musician.The 41mm case is made of stainless-steel with a brushed finish and contrasting polished chamfers and casebands, followed by a solid case back on the flip-side. Unlike the previous 2021 edition which had been slimmed down from its previous 14.9mm to a thickness of 14.2mm, this model seems to have increased a bit to a height of 14.4mm.Unlike the bare brushed steel bezel seen on the majority of its previous releases, mounted to this case is a fixed steel bezel with a black anodized aluminum disc engraved with a tachymeter scale in silvered markings. It is a simple, yet significant aesthetic modification that visually reduces its perceived size.It comes equipped with a pair of screw-down pushers to operate the chronograph functions, with a screw-down setting-crown in-between them. All topped by a highly domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which also contributes to a visual reduction of its overall size. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (656 feet).

Time is exhibited on a matte pink dial with white dotted index markers, followed by a track ring of black printed minute/seconds markers. This model boasts a chronograph feature, complete with two recessed sub-dials showcasing snailed patterns: a 45-minute tracker positioned at 3 o'clock, and a smaller seconds dial at 9 o'clock. The Tudor emblem is prominently displayed on the upper portion, while the lower segment details the water resistance in a striking red font, providing a subtle yet impactful accent to the color palette.There is also a date aperture aligned at the 6 o’clock position. The rhodium-plated central snowflake hour/minute hands and dotted index markers have all been fitted with a luminescent coating, for an enhanced legibility.

Tudor Black Bay Chrono iN Pink

The “Tudor Black Bay Chrono iN Pink” (Ref#: 79360N-0019) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber MT5813 with 47 jewels and 28,800 vph. It is based on the Breitling B01 movement. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 70 hours, when fully wound.

Mounted to watch is a five-link stainless-steel bracelet with brushed finish and polished chamfers, secured by a Tudor T-Fit micro-adjustable folding clasp. This watch is still not currently available on the Tudor website, although they do feature an article about it and have stated (The Black Bay Chrono “Pink” might not be for everyone, and that’s OK because few of them will ever be made.) For more up to date information visit the official Tudor website here.
