The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 arrives as Tudor’s latest motorsport-inspired creation, paying tribute to its Formula 1 partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.
Unveiled ahead of the return of the F1 season, the new Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26” transforms the familiar Black Bay Chrono platform into a far more aggressive and lightweight machine. With a full carbon composite construction, racing-inspired colour palette, and limited production run of 2,026 pieces, the watch leans heavily into the world of modern Formula 1 engineering while preserving the rugged identity of Tudor’s contemporary chronograph collection. The Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26” is housed in a 42mm carbon composite case measuring approximately 14.3mm thick. The lightweight construction immediately changes the character of the Black Bay Chrono, giving the watch a noticeably more technical and performance-oriented appearance. Matte black surfaces dominate the exterior, while the forged texture of the carbon material reinforces the motorsport connection.
Turning the watch over reveals a solid PVD-finished titanium caseback engraved with a chequered racing flag motif and individual limited-edition numbering. The darker finish integrates seamlessly with the stealthy carbon case, while the engraved detailing highlights the Formula 1 inspiration behind the project.
The screw-down crown and chronograph pushers are crafted from black PVD-finished titanium, maintaining both durability and visual consistency with the case. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the fixed tachymeter bezel in carbon fibre reinforces the racing-focused design language. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (656 feet).
The dial follows a classic panda-style chronograph layout but reinterprets it through Tudor’s modern racing aesthetic. A bright white domed base contrasts sharply against the hollowed carbon fibre sub-counters, creating a highly technical and layered appearance. Yellow accents across the minute track, subdial scales, and date display reference the colours of the VCARB 03 Formula 1 livery.
Applied markers and Tudor’s signature Snowflake hands retain the familiar Black Bay identity, though here they are outlined in black to better integrate with the monochromatic carbon elements. The red-tipped chronograph seconds hand introduces an additional motorsport-inspired detail while adding a welcome burst of colour to the display.
The combination of matte carbon textures, bright white surfaces, and vivid racing accents gives the dial a far more contemporary character than traditional Black Bay Chrono models. Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova applied to the hands and markers ensures strong low-light visibility without overwhelming the technical styling.
