TAG Heuer returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for 2026 with a new limited-edition chronograph celebrating one of the most iconic events in motorsport. Following last year’s Carrera Chronograph Festival of Speed edition, the brand now shifts its focus to the Formula 1 collection with the release of the Formula 1 Chronograph x Goodwood Festival of Speed. Inspired by this year’s event theme, “The Rivals – Epic Racing Duels”, the watch embraces a more purposeful racing-oriented character, combining bold proportions, chronograph functionality, and a British Racing Green color scheme that pays tribute to the heritage of British motorsport. Limited to 500 pieces, the watch continues TAG Heuer’s long-standing connection to competitive racing and high-performance timing.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph Goodwood Festival of Speed is housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 44mm in diameter. Designed with legibility and functionality in mind, the large case provides ample space for the chronograph display while maintaining the sporty character that has defined the Formula 1 collection for decades. Brushed and polished surfaces create visual contrast throughout the case, reinforcing its modern motorsport-inspired aesthetic.

Turning the watch over reveals a solid stainless-steel caseback engraved with a special Goodwood Festival of Speed motif. The caseback also carries an individual “One of 500” inscription, highlighting the watch’s limited-edition status and commemorating its connection to the celebrated British motoring event.

Framing the dial is a fixed bezel featuring a tachymeter scale rendered in oversized typography for improved readability. The bold bezel design reinforces the watch’s racing credentials while complementing the expansive dial layout. Protecting the display is a sapphire crystal, while water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (660 feet).

The dial is executed in a rich British Racing Green tone with a sunray-brushed finish that catches the light dynamically. Contrasting white sub-dials and vivid red accents provide excellent visual clarity while referencing classic motorsport color combinations. The overall aesthetic feels purposeful and sporting, aligning perfectly with the Formula 1 collection’s racing heritage.

The chronograph display adopts a vertical tri-compax arrangement, with the 30-minute counter positioned at 12 o’clock and the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. A small seconds display sits at 9 o’clock, while the TAG Heuer logo, Formula 1 branding, and date window occupy the 3 o’clock position. The white sub-dials are decorated with azurage finishing, adding depth and texture to the display.

A unique detail links the watch directly to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The 39th second marker is highlighted in red, commemorating the current hillclimb record of 39.08 seconds, set in 2022 by Max Chilton driving the McMurtry Spéirling. Completing the display are luminous hands and markers that ensure excellent readability in low-light conditions.
