The partnership between TAG Heuer and Gulf is one of the most recognizable collaborations in motorsport-inspired watchmaking. Rooted in decades of racing history and immortalized by Steve McQueen wearing a Heuer Monaco alongside the iconic Gulf-liveried Porsche 917 in the 1971 film Le Mans, the relationship continues to celebrate one of motorsport’s most enduring visual identities. For 2026, TAG Heuer expands the collaboration with the new Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf. Combining the unmistakable blue-and-orange Gulf racing colors with a lightweight titanium case and forged carbon bezel, this 1,000-piece limited edition brings a bold new look to the Formula 1 Chronograph collection.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf is housed in a 44mm Grade 2 titanium case measuring 14.5mm in thickness with a 47.3mm lug-to-lug distance. Finished with fine brushing and sandblasting, the lightweight titanium construction enhances durability while maintaining excellent wearing comfort. A subtle orange ring positioned between the case and bezel provides a tasteful nod to Gulf’s iconic racing colours, reinforcing the motorsport-inspired character of the watch.
Turning the watch over reveals a solid Grade 2 titanium screw-down caseback engraved with the Gulf logo, highlighting the collaborative nature of this limited edition while protecting the automatic chronograph movement housed within.
The black DLC-coated Grade 2 titanium screw-down crown is accented with orange lacquer and accompanied by matching black DLC-coated titanium chronograph pushers. Framing the dial is a fixed tachymeter bezel fitted with a forged carbon insert, whose naturally unique pattern ensures that no two watches are exactly alike. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (660 feet).
The dial combines a black opaline center with a blue outer running track, creating a bold backdrop for Gulf’s legendary racing colors. Running vertically through the display are the brand’s signature blue and orange stripes, instantly identifying the watch with one of motorsport’s most famous liveries while maintaining excellent visual balance.
The chronograph follows a traditional tri-compax layout with a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a running seconds display at 9 o’clock. Matching lacquered hands within the chronograph registers continue the Gulf colour theme, while the central chronograph seconds hand is finished in bright orange to maximize visibility during timing events. A discreet date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock.
Rhodium-plated applied hour markers and skeletonised hour and minute hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova, emitting a green glow in low-light conditions for excellent nighttime legibility while preserving the watch’s sporty aesthetic.

The “TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf” (Ref#: CBZ208B.BF0009) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, Calibre 16, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). Based on a proven cam-actuated chronograph architecture, it comes equipped with hours, minutes, running seconds, date, and chronograph functions including central chronograph seconds, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter. Power reserve can last up to 48 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is a three-row Grade 2 titanium bracelet secured by a sandblasted titanium folding clasp with double safety push-buttons and a comfort extension. The lightweight titanium construction complements the case perfectly while enhancing durability and everyday comfort.
