TAG Heuer commemorates the legacy of legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna with the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna, marking the 30th anniversary of his passing. 
Released to coincide with the upcoming Netflix series Senna, this limited edition takes inspiration from TAG Heuer’s Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport model and incorporates elements that celebrate Senna’s connection to the brand. With a distinctive mix of titanium, carbon composite, and the colors of Brazil, this watch is a fitting tribute to a racing icon.
This 44mm case is crafted from grade-2 titanium, offering strength and reduced weight, which makes it highly comfortable for daily wear. The case’s brushed and sandblasted finishes add depth to its appearance, while the choice of titanium lends it durability and a sleek, modern look. The bold design, with oversized dimensions, is in keeping with the spirit of TAG Heuer’s high-performance sports watches.
On the reverse side, the watch reveals a sapphire caseback adorned with an image of Senna in his racing helmet, an emblematic tribute to the late driver. This personalized detail adds a unique touch, celebrating Senna’s legacy and his relationship with TAG Heuer. Partially visible through the caseback is the caliber TH20-09 automatic movement, providing a glimpse of its engineering and finishing beneath the helmeted image.
It comes equipped with a carbon composite tachymeter bezel, which contrasts beautifully with the titanium case and enhances its motorsport-inspired look. The screw-down crown and titanium pushers contribute to the watch’s robust, functional design for active wear. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).
The dial of the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna is both visually dynamic and technically impressive, with a skeletonized design that reveals the decorated base plate beneath. 
This open-worked aesthetic is enhanced by a checkered flag pattern, nodding to the world of racing and creating a sense of movement across the dial. The vibrant blue, green, and yellow accents are a tribute to the Brazilian flag, making this model unmistakably tied to Senna’s heritage.
At 9 o’clock, the elapsed hours sub-dial prominently features Senna’s iconic “S” emblem, a signature element that sets this edition apart. Meanwhile, the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock captures attention with its constant motion, showcasing TAG Heuer’s commitment to high-complication watchmaking. The dial layout is balanced and easy to read, despite the complexity of the skeletonized design.
The rhodium-plated hands and hour markers are coated with luminescent material, ensuring legibility in various lighting conditions. Even in low light, the Super-LumiNova elements stand out against the skeletonized background, enhancing the watch’s usability. The “TAG Heuer Carrera Extreme Sport Chronograph Tourbillon X Senna” (Ref#: CBU5081.FT6274) is powered by the in-house self-winding COSC-certified mechanical movement, caliber TH20-09 tourbillon movement with 33 jewels, and 28,800 Vph. Power reserve can last up to 65 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a blue integrated rubber strap, secured by a grade-2 titanium folding clasp. The strap’s deep blue hue complements the Brazilian colors on the dial and brings a cohesive element to the overall design.
