The TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox Tourbillon combines the brand’s rich motorsport heritage with contemporary watchmaking innovation. Inspired by the iconic Carrera design, this latest edition introduces a smoky purple sunray-brushed dial, adding a bold and refined aesthetic to the collection. Featuring a bezel-less domed sapphire crystal, this model maintains the clean, vintage-inspired lines of the Carrera while showcasing modern technical prowess. With a high-performance tourbillon regulator and a skeletonized movement visible through the dial, this timepiece pushes the limits of precision and craftsmanship. Released as a limited edition of 200 pieces, it offers exclusivity alongside its striking new colorway.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox Tourbillon comes in a 42mm stainless steel case, combining polished and brushed finishes for a refined yet sporty aesthetic. Its bezel-less design is defined by the highly domed sapphire crystal, which enhances legibility while adding a vintage-inspired charm. The sharp angular lugs ensure a balanced and comfortable fit, maintaining the Carrera’s signature racing DNA.
Flipping the watch over reveals the exhibition caseback, secured with six screws. Through the transparent sapphire crystal, the TH20-09 automatic tourbillon chronograph movement is fully visible, showcasing its column wheel mechanism, intricately decorated bridges, and the distinctive tourbillon regulator at 6 o’clock. The openworked rotor, with its signature TAG Heuer shield motif, further highlights the movement’s precision engineering.
On the right side of the case, the pump-style chronograph pushers flank the screw-down crown, which features the TAG Heuer emblem. These elements contribute to the watch’s sporty appeal while ensuring intuitive operation. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The smoky purple sunray-brushed dial gives the TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox Tourbillon a striking and elegant presence, seamlessly blending contemporary style with motorsport heritage. Its gradient effect darkens toward the edges, adding depth and contrast to the design.
The tri-compax chronograph layout includes black azuré sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, both enhancing the watch’s functionality while maintaining a clean and well-balanced aesthetic. 
At 6 o’clock, the tourbillon aperture takes center stage, its open structure revealing the mesmerizing mechanical movement beneath. 
For optimal visibility, the rhodium-plated faceted hour markers and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent readability in all lighting conditions. The central chronograph seconds hand, featuring a red tip, adds a sporty touch and enhances timing precision.

The “TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon” (Ref#: CBS5017.FC6605) is powered by the in-house automatic calibre TH20-09, with 33 jewels, and 28,800 vph. This movement is an evolution of the Heuer 02T, redesigned by Carole Forestier-Kasapi. It combines a column-wheel chronograph with a one-minute tourbillon. It comes equipped with bi-directional winding, a redesigned gear train to reduce the rotor’s noise, and is COSC chronometer certified. Power reserve can last up to 65 hours when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a black perforated calfskin leather rally-style strap, secured to the wrist by a stainless-steel folding clasp with double safety push-buttons. It has black tone-on-tone stitchings on the upper, while the underside is a dark purple to match the dial.
