As part of its Geneva Watch Days 2025 lineup, TAG Heuer introduces a bold reinterpretation of its most advanced chronograph. The Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring pairs a full-forged carbon construction with the brand’s newly developed TH-Carbonspring, which is a next-generation carbon hairspring that marks nearly a decade of internal R&D. This 50-piece limited edition not only serves as the technological vanguard for TAG Heuer’s future movements, but also reimagines the aesthetics of the Carrera Extreme Sport line with stealthy materials and pared-down design.
This timepiece is housed in a bold 44mm case crafted entirely from forged carbon, emphasizing its aggressive and modern presence. Its angular silhouette and integrated lugs extend the watch to a 49.7mm lug-to-lug span, while the 15.4mm thickness reinforces the robust character of the Carrera “Extreme Sport” line. The iconic tachymeter bezel is also made of forged carbon, seamlessly blending into the overall design.
Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire exhibition caseback, offering a full view of the in-house movement and its architectural bridges. The carbon textures extend around the perimeter, framing the visible oscillating weight and tourbillon mechanism. Fine finishing and checkerboard-style decoration emphasize the technical sophistication within.
It comes equipped with a forged carbon crown and matching chronograph pushers, completing the uniform stealth aesthetic while enhancing tactile control. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The dial embraces a minimalist, high-tech aesthetic that highlights the watch’s carbon-based innovation. Crafted from forged carbon, the entire surface is engraved with a spiral motif, echoing the geometry of the TH-Carbonspring hairspring nestled inside.
The layered texture adds visual depth and dynamic light play, while staying resolutely monochrome for a stealth-like character.
At the 6 o’clock position, a flying tourbillon aperture cuts through the dial, offering a direct view of the carbon hairspring in action. A pair of black subdials are positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock, providing chronograph readouts while maintaining symmetry. All registers sit flush with the surface, preserving the dial’s integrated forged-carbon architecture.
Completing the display are applied black indexes and matte black hands, treated with Super-LumiNova® for legibility. A subtle printed white minute track encircles the dial, and all elements are framed beneath a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
