TAG Heuer embraces the rising popularity of purple in watchmaking with the introduction of the Carrera Chronograph in this striking hue. As part of its LVMH Watch Week 2025 novelties, the brand brings its signature “Glassbox” design to life with a vibrant purple sunburst dial, marking the first time this dynamic colorway has graced the Carrera collection. Combining the retro-futuristic charm of the Carrera line with a bold and contemporary aesthetic, this new release highlights TAG Heuer’s ability to blend heritage and innovation seamlessly. Designed for versatility and sophistication, the purple Carrera Chronograph is a standout addition to the brand’s cornerstone chronograph lineup.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph in purple adopts the signature “Glassbox” design, blending vintage-inspired aesthetics with contemporary craftsmanship. Crafted from stainless steel, the case measures a balanced 39mm in diameter and 13.86mm in thickness, offering a compact and versatile profile. The faceted lugs and horizontal brushing along the case sides are contrasted by polished accents, adding refinement to the sporty design.The exhibition caseback showcases the in-house TH20-00 movement. Secured with polished screws, the caseback provides a clear view of the movement’s Geneva stripes, skeletonized rotor with a TAG Heuer shield motif, and other fine details. The open design highlights the watch’s technical sophistication and dedication to finishing.Completing the case is a screw-down crown and well-integrated pushers for operating the chronograph.  Its curved sapphire crystal integrates seamlessly with the case, creating a smooth, bezel-less silhouette that enhances the retro-modern appeal. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
Time is exhibited on a striking purple sunburst dial. This rich, slightly reddish violet shade creates a compelling gradient effect, transitioning smoothly to black along the sloping chapter ring. The vibrant tone, combined with a finely grained sunburst texture, gives the dial a modern yet elegant character that complements the retro-inspired “Glassbox” design.Framed by faceted, polished rhodium-plated hour markers and hands, the dial showcases TAG Heuer’s focus on symmetry and balance. The bi-compax chronograph layout features contrasting black sub-dials with azuré finishes, adding depth to the composition. Positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock, the sub-dials house the 30-minute chronograph counter and small seconds, while a discreet date window at 6 o’clock integrates seamlessly into the design.Enhancing legibility in low-light conditions, the hour markers and hands are treated with white Super-LumiNova. This practical feature ensures the vibrant aesthetics are matched by functionality, making the purple Carrera Chronograph a versatile and bold choice for enthusiasts.

The “TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph” (Ref#: CBS2219.FC6607) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber TH20-00 with 33 jewels, and 28,800 Vph. It comes equipped with a bi-directional winding system. Power reserve can last up to 80 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a classic black perforated leather rally strap, featuring tone-on-tone black stitching that enhances its sporty yet refined appeal, while secured by a polished deployant clasp.
