TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT
As we navigate through one of the busiest travel months of the calendar year, TAG Heuer has added a new member to their Aquaracer collection, prepared for globetrotting. The new “TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT” comes equipped with a second time-zone, while retaining all the aquatic qualities that made a professional dive watch. The 43mm case is made of stainless-steel with vertically brushed surfaces and polished accents. While mounted to the case is a bi-directional steel rotating bezel.Engraved on the bezel's blue and white ceramic insert is a 24-hour scale, counted out in even numerals, excluding the 24 marker, that appears as the iconic triangular index marker (doubling its function as part of the rotating scale). On the flip-side we encounter a solid steel case back which has been engraved with the iconic Aquaracer dive helmet. It comes equipped with a knurled screw-in steel setting-crown, embossed with the TAG Heuer logo. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (1,000 feet).Time is exhibited on a blue dial with steel-applied octagonal and trapezoid shaped hour index markers, followed by a ring of white printed minute/seconds markers circling the periphery of the dial. The charismatic stepped pattern we’ve grown accustomed to seeing on the Aquaracer, again appears with its rugged and stylish presence. On the upper-half dial is the “AQUARACER” inscription and TAG Heuer logo, while the lower-half highlights the water-resistance, “AUTOMATIC” movement, and new GMT function. There is also a round date aperture at the 6 o’clock position with a magnifier underneath the glass, in order to keep a smooth outer surface. The central sword-shaped stainless-steel hands, hour index markers, and arrow-tip of the GMT hand, have all been fitted with a mix of contrasting green and blue luminescent coatings, for an enhanced legibility.
