Rolex Oyster Perpetual iN 34, 31 & 28mm
Not everyone has a wrist that can fashionably frame a larger sized timepiece. Or, some people might just prefer a more discrete look. After all many current trends are aimed at nano technology. For example women are a demographic that usually gravitates towards smaller sized watches. Well rest assured because Rolex has also kept you in mind by providing 2020 with enough “Oyster Perpetual” options to meet your fit. These stainless-steel models come in either a 36, 31, or 28mm version put together by a middle case with a screw-down case back. In essence we have all the same curves and design traits seen on the larger 41 and 36mm. But, obviously scaled down and reproportioned accordingly. Besides the size the other major difference resides inside, since Rolex had to swap the caliber movements.
Mounted to the case is a domed bezel with a polished finish that further pops out, due to the visible contrast of the brushed finish main case. It comes equipped with a screw-down setting crown, which features a waterproofness system.
All topped by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Water-resistance on these watches can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
Just like the larger cased versions time can be exhibited on a wide array of colors, which can be slightly distinguished amongst themselves by the sunburst finish: silver, black, and blue options;
or the lacquered finishes in green, coral red, yellow, and turquoise blue.
But, these smaller cased options can also be had in pink. An extra hue that clearly signals its higher appeal among female consumers.
Beyond that in common all dials feature rectangular hour index markers, followed by a ring of smaller printed minute markings with cubes for every 5-minute increment.
The central hour/minute hands and hour index markers can be had made out of yellow or white gold. Another novelty in this updated 2020 collection is the luminescent material on all versions now being a blue Chromalight, instead of the green glow of its predecessors.
