Rolex GMT-Master II 126710

Watches and Wonders has begun and Rolex just unveiled the latest addition to its collection, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II 126710GRNR, which boasts a 24-hour, two-tone Cerachrom bezel insert in shades of grey and black. This model comes in two styles: one equipped with an Oyster bracelet and the other with a Jubilee bracelet. The 40mm Oyster case is made of Oystersteel (which is Rolex’s form of stainless-steel) with vertically brushed surfaces and polished bevels finish. The central casing of these latest models are meticulously shaped from a solid piece of Oystersteel and feature delicately grooved edges.Mounted by a two-way rotating bezel with a 24-hour marked Cerachrom insert in shades of gray and black ceramic. The bezel's ridged edge ensures a firm grip, allowing for smooth rotation. On the flipside is a caseback that is securely fastened in a way that it can only be opened with a specific tool, ensuring exclusive access to the internal movement by Rolex's skilled watchmakers. It comes equipped with a Triplock winding crown that incorporates a three-fold waterproofness system and is shielded by a built-in crown guard, ensuring it tightly screws down against the watch case for enhanced security. All topped by a sapphire crystal equipped with a Cyclops lens positioned at 3 o'clock, enhancing the date's readability. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).Time is exhibited on a glossy black dial with applied hour index markers in round, rectangular and a triangular shape at the 12 o’clock position. While circling the flange is a white printed minute track ring. The black lacquered dial also features the 'GMT-Master II' inscription in green, mirroring the hue of the triangle-tipped 24-hour hand. The GMT-Master II was designed to simultaneously display the time in two different time zones. So the user can track both the local time and a reference time, or the local time and the time in an alternate time zone. The date display which appears at the 3 o’clock spot  is also aligned with the local time setting. It features the standard hour, minute, and seconds hands, alongside a triangle-tipped 24-hour hand. The intricately molded and recessed graduations and numerals receive a platinum coating through Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), enhancing their visibility.

Rolex GMT-Master II

The “Rolex GMT-Master II” (Ref#: 126710GRNR) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 3285 with 31 jewels and 28,800 vph. The watch integrates Rolex's patented Chronergy escapement, known for its exceptional energy efficiency and reliability. Constructed from nickel-phosphorus, this component is notably resistant to magnetic disturbances. Power reserve can last up to 70 hours, when fully wound. This model comes in two distinct styles: one features the durable Oyster bracelet, while the other is equipped with the elegant Jubilee bracelet. The Oyster bracelet, introduced in the late 1930s, is characterized by its three-piece link design and is renowned for its sturdiness, making it a staple in the Oyster Perpetual range. On the other hand, the Jubilee bracelet, with its five-piece link construction, was designed specifically for the Oyster Perpetual Datejust introduced in 1945, offering both suppleness and comfort. Additionally, these models include the Easylink comfort extension link, which provides the convenience of adjusting the bracelet length by about 5 mm to ensure a comfortable fit.
