Patek Philippe expands its portfolio of practical complications with the Patek Philippe Calatrava Alarme 24-hour, a refined yet contemporary interpretation of the classic Calatrava equipped with a mechanical 24-hour alarm. Presented in white gold with either a blue or green gradient dial, this new reference streamlines the concept introduced by its more complex predecessor, focusing on everyday usability while maintaining the brand’s signature attention to detail and acoustic sophistication.
The Calatrava 5322G is housed in a 41mm case crafted from 18k white gold, with a thickness of 12.55mm. Its polished surfaces are complemented by the Clous de Paris hobnail guilloché pattern that runs along the entire caseband, giving the watch a distinctive texture rooted in classical Patek Philippe design codes.

On the reverse, a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the intricate architecture of the alarm movement, including the micro-rotor and the finely finished components within. The construction is noteworthy, as the lugs are integrated into the caseback rather than attached to the case middle, allowing the hobnail pattern to flow uninterrupted around the case.

At 2 o’clock, a single pusher also decorated with the hobnail motif controls the activation and deactivation of the alarm, while the crown at 4 o’clock handles winding and setting functions. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the overall case design remains elegant yet functional. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).

The dial features a granular textured surface with a subtle gradient effect, available in either deep blue or green, transitioning to a darker rim.

This combination adds depth and a contemporary edge while maintaining the understated elegance expected from the Calatrava line.

Applied white gold numerals and syringe-style hands reinforce legibility, while the layout integrates multiple functional displays without appearing cluttered.

 

The alarm time is shown via a double aperture beneath 12 o’clock, accompanied by a day/night indicator for the alarm and a bell-shaped aperture indicating whether the alarm is engaged.

The central seconds and date hand are executed in white for contrast, enhancing readability across the dial. The hands and hour markers are treated with luminescent material, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions while preserving the watch’s refined aesthetic.

Patek Philippe Calatrava 24-hour Alarm

The “Patek Philippe Calatrava 24-hour Alarm” (Ref#: 5322G-001 iN Blue / 5322G-010 iN Green) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber AL 30-660 SC with 52 jewels, 524 components, and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a 24-hour alarm striking on a traditional gong, micro-rotor winding system, day/night indicator, and Patek Philippe Seal certification. Power reserve can last up to 52 hours, when fully wound.

Mounted on this watch is a Cordura-effect calfskin strap with a textile pattern, available in matching blue or green tones with contrasting cream stitching, as well as an additional beige nubuck strap. 

It is secured by a patented 18k white gold triple-blade folding clasp, offering both comfort and security while allowing for quick, tool-free strap changes.
