Patek Philippe 6007G Calatrava Self-Winding

A trio of different colors make up the new updated Calatrava by Patek Philippe. Back in 2020 the brand celebrated the opening of a new manufacturer with a similar Calatrava model. But this triple release is crafted in white gold instead of stainless-steel and is housing the updated caliber 26-330 S C movement.The round 40 mm case is made of 18k white gold with a fully polished finish. It has a very compact and slim profile with 9,17 mm in thickness. Mounted to the case is an almost mirror-like gold bezel with a very circular design. On the flipside is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It showcases many hand crafted details such as circular graining, Côtes de Genève, chamfering, and a 21k gold central rotor decorated with a Calatrava cross.It comes equipped with a knurled setting crown embossed with the Calatrava cross. A simple yet very effective construction. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).Time is exhibited on an ebony black dial with gold applied Arabic numerals, followed by a minute track ring circling the flange. Each model features different highlights in either blue, red, or yellow.At the center is an embossed “carbon” pattern, which is circled by another minute ring that further aligns with the numerals. As the brand states there is a “rhythmic geometry” to the dials design. The central hour/minute hands and Arabic numerals have all been fitted with a luminescent filling for an enhanced legibility. There is also a white date aperture at the 3 o’clock position.

The “Patek Philippe 6007G Calatrava Self-Winding” (References below) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 26-330 S C with 30 jewels, 212 parts, and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a sweep seconds, Gyromax® balance, and Spiromax® balance spring. Power reserve can last up to 35 or 45 hours, when fully wound.Mounted on these watches is a black calfskin strap embossed with a “carbon” motif, secured to the wrist by a prong buckle.
