Panerai has expanded its Submersible collection with the new Submersible PAM01756, marking an important milestone as the first 44mm Submersible to be fitted with a stainless-steel bracelet. Designed as a professional diving instrument, the new model combines the collection’s rugged tool-watch DNA with improved everyday versatility.
Featuring a corrosion-resistant steel case, a blue ceramic bezel, a clean no-date dial, and the in-house P.980 automatic movement, the PAM01756 remains faithful to Panerai’s military diving heritage while introducing practical new features for daily wear.
The Panerai Submersible PAM01756 is housed in a 44mm case crafted from AISI 316LVM stainless-steel, a premium alloy selected for its exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. The robust case is paired with a unidirectional rotating diving bezel fitted with a polished blue ceramic insert, whose scratch-resistant surface enhances both performance and aesthetics. Designed for professional underwater use, the bezel allows divers to safely monitor elapsed dive time by aligning its luminous marker with the minute hand before immersion.
Turning the watch over reveals a solid screw-down stainless-steel caseback engraved with the historic Slow Speed Torpedo, or “Maiale,” used by Italian Navy commandos during underwater missions. This engraving pays tribute to Panerai’s long-standing association with military diving instruments and reinforces the historical inspiration behind the Submersible collection.
The signature Panerai crown-protecting bridge secures the winding crown while enhancing the watch’s unmistakable profile and ensuring dependable operation under demanding conditions.
Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal that provides outstanding scratch resistance and clarity. Water resistance can reach up to 500 meters (1,640 feet), with every watch tested to pressures exceeding its rated depth by 25% as part of Panerai’s quality-control procedures.
The black sun-brushed dial embraces Panerai’s traditional no-date configuration, recalling the clean, purpose-built military diving instruments supplied to the Italian Navy before 1998.
By eliminating the date display, the design prioritizes maximum legibility while preserving the minimalist aesthetic that has long defined the brand’s professional dive watches.
A small seconds display positioned at 9 o’clock features an elegant azurage finish with concentric engraved circles that add visual depth while serving a practical purpose by allowing the wearer to confirm at a glance that the movement is running. The dial’s uncluttered layout further emphasizes the watch’s functional character.
White Super-LumiNova-filled hour markers and hands provide exceptional contrast against the black dial. Panerai’s distinctive dual-color luminous system remains in place, with the hour markers and hour hand emitting a green glow, while the minute hand and the luminous dot on the bezel glow blue, allowing elapsed dive time to be distinguished instantly in low-light conditions.

The “Officine Panerai Submersible PAM01756” (Ref#: PAM01756) is powered by the self-winding mechanical manufacture movement, caliber P.980 with 23 jewels and 28,800 vph (4Hz). Built with 177 components, it features a traversing balance bridge for improved stability, a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time-setting, and undergoes six-position testing to ensure consistent chronometric performance. It displays the hours, minutes, and small seconds. Power reserve can last up to 72 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is a stainless-steel bracelet featuring alternating brushed and polished finishes, secured by a folding clasp.
Inspired by the design of Panerai’s signature crown-protecting bridge, the bracelet introduces the Quick Length Adjustment system to the 44mm Submersible collection, allowing it to extend by 2mm on each side without tools for enhanced comfort as wrist size changes throughout the day.
