The Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575 marks Panerai’s return to its flagship complication, now presented in a moodier and more understated palette. Replacing the vibrant tones of previous releases, this new boutique-exclusive model pairs a translucent sapphire dial with a deep blue strap and a hefty 44mm case in Platinumtech, a proprietary platinum alloy said to offer greater durability. With its minimal display and crown-operated calendar adjustments, the PAM01575 blends intuitive utility with traditional complexity—offering the benefits of a perpetual calendar without cluttering the dial. It remains one of the most technically refined yet quietly wearable pieces in Panerai’s modern lineup.
The 44mm case is crafted from Panerai’s proprietary Platinumtech™ alloy, which the brand claims to be significantly harder and more resistant than conventional 950 platinum. Its familiar cushion-shaped profile, pronounced lugs, and polished surfaces offer a strong presence on the wrist, with a brushed locking crown guard adding a utilitarian contrast. Time is displayed via central hour, minute, and GMT hands, with a running small seconds counter at 9 o’clock and a large twin-window day-date display at 3 o’clock. A discreet AM/PM indicator is positioned between 9 and 12, linked to the GMT function.
The dial surface reveals the underlying calendar wheels with a subtle smoky finish that tempers legibility with intrigue. All text is printed in clean white, with indices and subdial elements appearing crisp and clearly defined. The floating visual effect of the sapphire dial gives the watch a layered depth, while preserving its mechanical clarity.
The applied indices and skeletonized hands are filled with Super-LumiNova X2 for enhanced legibility in darkness. The GMT hand and key indications remain distinguishable in low light, ensuring the display remains functional in both professional and casual settings.

Mounted to the watch is a dark blue alligator leather strap that features a gently patinated finish, giving it a rich, vintage character. This soft yet robust strap integrates seamlessly with the case and is secured by a trapezoidal pin buckle in 18k white gold, echoing the watch’s luxurious construction.
