Panerai revisits one of its most iconic military-inspired designs with the introduction of the new Luminor PAM01735. Presented at Watches and Wonders 2026 alongside its forged titanium sibling, the new reference draws heavily from the historic Ref. 6152/1 while incorporating modern manufacturing techniques and contemporary materials. Retaining the imposing 47mm case and unmistakable crown-protecting bridge, the PAM01735 delivers a faithful interpretation of Panerai’s heritage with refined vintage-inspired details.
The Panerai Luminor PAM01735 is housed in a polished stainless-steel case measuring 47mm in diameter. Remaining faithful to the proportions of Panerai’s historic military instruments, the cushion-shaped case features integrated lugs and the brand’s signature crown-protecting bridge, while a brushed finish on the bridge and sapphire caseback frame contrasts elegantly against the polished case surfaces.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback showcasing the hand-wound manufacture caliber P.3000. The movement’s large architecture recalls the oversized pocket watch calibers historically supplied for Panerai’s military contracts, allowing owners to appreciate both its technical construction and traditional finishing.

A domed sapphire crystal recreates the visual warmth of vintage acrylic crystals while offering vastly improved scratch resistance. The signature locking lever protects the winding crown and ensures a secure seal against the case. Water resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).

The matte sandwich dial is finished with a subtle ivory-toned gradient inspired by the tropical aging found on vintage Panerai watches. This warm coloration recalls decades of natural patina, giving the watch a distinctive vintage character while remaining entirely contemporary.

Executed in Panerai’s signature sandwich construction, the upper dial plate reveals beige Super-LumiNova beneath the large cut-out numerals and hour markers.

A small seconds display sits at 9 o’clock, preserving the traditional layout associated with historic Panerai references.

Vintage-style double pencil hands complete the display and are filled with beige Super-LumiNova to ensure outstanding nighttime legibility.

Combined with the softly aged dial tone, the luminous treatment reinforces the authentic military aesthetic that has long defined the Luminor collection.
