Panerai Luminor Due iN Burgundy

Panerai unveils the Luminor Due PAM01424, a new addition to its Luminor Due collection, known for its slimmer and lighter reinterpretations of the brand's classic design. Originating in 2017, the Luminor Due series offered a mid-sized, gender-neutral option within the Luminor range, initially featuring the OP XXXIV movement, now succeeded by the P.900 caliber in the latest models. The 42mm Luminor Due maintains the iconic crown guard reminiscent of the Luminor Marina yet differs with a modest 50m water resistance. Its slender silhouette and polished finish present a distinct departure from the traditional rugged dive watches, while the introduction of a new dial color enhances this blend of contemporary and traditional aesthetics. The signature cushion design 42 mm case is made of stainless-steel and mounted with a contrasting polished steel fixed bezel. On the flip-side we encounter a solid steel case back engraved with technical details. It also comes equipped with short stubby lugs with exposed screws, and the iconic extra reinforced Panerai crown guard featuring a detachable security lever. All topped by a sapphire crystal that assists with water-resistance reaching up to 50 meters (164 feet).Time is exhibited on a burgundy dial with baton-shaped hour index markers and the Arabic numerals: 6 and 12. These features are showcased through openings in Panerai's signature "sandwich" dial construction, with the exception of the "PANERAI" logo at the top half, which is directly printed on the dial's surface. The most striking aspect is the luminous sheen produced by the sun-brushed dial's surface. The burgundy hue and steel components each emit a distinct radiance. Positioned near the 9 o'clock mark, there's a subtle small seconds sub-dial that appears to be etched into the dial's face, extending halfway into the layered depth. The central sword-shaped steel hands, hour index markers, Arabic numerals and small seconds, have all been fitted with a green luminescent coating. There is also a date window at the 3 o’clock position.
