The second chapter in Bell & Ross’ BR-X3 collection is here, and it’s not designed to go unnoticed. Drawing inspiration from the heads-up displays of fighter jets, the BR-X3 Night Vision takes the brand’s iconic square silhouette to a radical new level with a fully luminescent case and a high-precision calibre. Merging aviation utility with futuristic materials, this 250-piece limited edition transforms by night, glowing with mission-ready green intensity thanks to an advanced Super-LumiNova resin composite. With a chronometer-certified Kenissi movement and an openworked dial structure, this is Bell & Ross at its most experimental, a bold evolution of cockpit instruments for modern wrists. The BR-X3 Night Vision is housed in a 41mm x 41mm square case with a thickness of 13.3mm, combining technical materials with bold aesthetics. Its structure features a sandwich construction, where the top and bottom plates are crafted from LUM-CAMO, a composite of carbon fiber and Super-LumiNova resin that appears matte black by day and glows vivid green in low light. These plates are fastened by four through-case screws enclosed in luminescent green rubber cylinders, while the central case is formed in microblasted Grade 2 titanium with black DLC coating, offering strength without excess weight.
Turning the watch over, the caseback features a black-tinted sapphire crystal that offers a subtle yet effective display of the movement within. It’s framed by a microblasted Grade 2 titanium ring with black DLC coating, blending seamlessly with the stealthy aesthetic of the watch. Despite the open display, the case retains its tactical design language with subdued finishing and no unnecessary ornamentation.
Crown and pushers are constructed from black DLC-coated titanium, including a robust screw-down crown flanked by matching protective shoulders. The right side of the case also features a functional pusher used to operate the power reserve indicator. On the front, a green-tinted sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides enhances legibility and gives the watch its signature futuristic glow. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The dial of the BR-X3 Night Vision is a multi-layered construction built for maximum contrast and legibility in darkness. Its foundation is a tinted sapphire baseplate that reveals glimpses of the movement beneath, topped by a luminescent green appliqué forming the signature X-shaped bridge design unique to the BR-X3 series.
A black microblasted insert adds further dimensionality while supporting the raised hour markers and displays.
All markers are applied and coated with white Super-LumiNova X2, which emits a strong green glow in low-light conditions. The hands are similarly blackened with white SLN X2 infill, maintaining excellent contrast day or night. The dial includes a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock, with “E” (empty) and “F” (full) markings, and a date window at 3 o’clock showing three numerals in succession for quick readability.
A green-tinted sapphire crystal covers the dial, adding both aesthetic impact and functional clarity. The result is a display that evokes the look of night-vision systems and tactical head-up displays, reinforcing the instrument-like feel of the watch while remaining bold and legible in any lighting condition.
