Panerai Luminor Due 38 iN Pastel Colors

For the first time ever Officine Panerai has released a series of Luminor Due models with never before seen pastel colors. These are the smaller 38mm version that debuted in 2018 and officially became the smallest diameter option on the whole Panerai catalog. Other than the color scheme these watches have the same solid construction, but they will only be available annually with a limited production.The signature cushion design 38 mm case is made of stainless-steel and mounted with a contrasting polished steel fixed bezel. 
On the flip-side we encounter a solid steel case back engraved with technical details.It also comes equipped with short stubby lugs with exposed screws, and the iconic extra reinforced Panerai crown guard featuring a detachable security lever. All topped by a sapphire crystal that assists with water-resistance reaching up to 50 meters (164 feet).Time is exhibited on either a pastel light blue, light green, or light pink dial with baton-shaped hour index markers and the Arabic numerals: 6 and 12. All these elements appear as cut-aways on Panerai’s iconic “sandwich” layered dial. Except for the upper-half “PANERAI” inscription printed directly on the dial.All of these dials are shaded with a double-finishing polish that gives off a gradient effect, which goes from a lighter center that gradually becomes darker as it nears the periphery. As aforementioned this is the first time Panerai has used this pastel palette on any of their watches.The central sword-shaped gold hands, hour index markers, Arabic numerals and small seconds, have all been fitted with a green luminescent coating. There is also a white date window at the 3 o’clock position.

The “Panerai Luminor Due” (References below) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber P.900  with 23 jewels, 12 ½ lignes, 171 components, and 28,800 vph. Power reserve can last up to 72 hours (3 days), when fully wound.Mounted on the watch is a steel bracelet with each curved link crafted in a semi-oval shape, secured to the wrist by a deployment buckle. These watches are part of a boutique exclusive with only 500 manufactured pieces for each color per year.
