Oris has once again joined forces with RedBar, the global watch collector community, to release a limited-edition diver marking the return of the group’s Global Meetup to New York City. The collaboration commemorates a renewed sense of connection between the independent Swiss brand and one of the world’s most vibrant collector scenes. Building on their first joint release from 2018, this new watch serves as a symbolic homecoming and a tribute to RedBar’s roots in the Big Apple. Limited to just 250 pieces, the Oris x RedBar Divers Limited Edition brings bold color and compact proportions to a no-nonsense diver that reflects both brands’ shared values.
The stainless-steel case of the Oris x RedBar Divers Limited Edition measures 39mm in diameter, with a thickness of 12.1mm and a compact lug-to-lug span that enhances comfort on smaller wrists.
The case features brushed surfaces along the lugs and polished accents on the sides, creating a dynamic contrast that elevates the simple tool-watch silhouette. The matte black ceramic bezel includes a white printed minute scale and offers smooth uni-directional action for timing dives or daily events.
Around the back, the screw-down caseback is engraved with a special Oris x RedBar emblem, commemorating the release and underscoring the community-oriented nature of the collaboration. The solid steel construction maintains the watch’s durable profile while providing a canvas for this limited-edition design.
It comes equipped with a screw-down crown, knurled for a secure handling. All topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside ensures legibility from all angles. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (660 feet), making this watch well-equipped for both aquatic adventures and daily wear.
RedBar’s signature hue defines the watch face, which features a vibrant red fumé dial that radiates from a rich center to a dark crimson periphery. This color gradient gives the dial a sense of depth while unmistakably tying it to the community that inspired it. A white printed minute track rings the outer edge, adding clarity to the bold design.
The applied baton-style indices are filled with Super-LumiNova for nighttime readability and polished for a refined daytime appearance. Framed against the saturated red backdrop, the markers and hands maintain excellent contrast, ensuring easy reading without compromising aesthetics.
The central hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated with luminous inlays, while the black-outlined seconds hand features a lumed tip for precise timing. Together, these elements provide a practical display while allowing the vibrant red dial to take center stage.
