Oris Aquis Date Relief iN Cherry
Last year we saw Oris put out a “Cherry” model with a very intense hue that made its dial really demand attention. For true divers this burst of color could really stand-out in low depths. Now the Oris Aquis Date Relief in Cherry is followed up by an exact design in a bigger option. The 43.5mm multi-piece case is made of stainless-steel with brushed casebands and polished accents. While on the flip-side is a mineral glass caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement.Mounted to the case is a unidirectional rotating bezel with stainless-steel insert. It has been engraved with a 60-minute diving scale in relief to assist divers with immersion times; although it can be easily used for other practical countdowns. It comes equipped with a stainless-steel screw-in crown that is protected by screwed on crown guards. All topped by a sapphire crystal domed on both sides with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance on this watch can reach up to 300 meters (984 feet). Time is exhibited on a sunray cherry red dial with stainless-steel applied hour index markers, followed by smaller white printed minute index markers circling around its periphery. The thick uneven central stainless-steel hands, the hour index markers and the circle found on the needle-style seconds hand, have all been fitted with a luminescent coating for an enhanced legibility. There is also a black date aperture located at the 6 o’clock position.
