The Oris Aquis Date Relief makes a bold return in 2025, now updated with fresh dial and strap options while retaining its distinctive steel bezel in raised relief. Based on the larger 43.5mm redesign of the Aquis series, this new iteration balances utility and personality, combining serious diving specifications with visual versatility. Whether paired with a classic steel bracelet or a vibrant red rubber strap, the new Aquis Date Relief continues to deliver on both performance and modern style.
This bold dive watch features a 43.5mm stainless steel case with a height of 13.1mm and a lug-to-lug span of 51mm, delivering robust wrist presence while remaining wearable for daily use. Its design follows the recent Aquis family updates, bringing slightly softened lines and an assertive profile. A standout element is the unidirectional rotating bezel, rendered in solid stainless steel with raised Arabic numerals and a 15-minute diving scale, producing a striking three-dimensional relief effect.
Turning the watch over reveals a mineral glass exhibition caseback that provides a view of the automatic movement inside. The rear is secured with a screw-down system, while the case flanks are subtly contoured to flow toward the lugs, enhancing ergonomics and wearability.
A screw-down crown is securely nestled between redesigned crown guards for added protection. A double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coatings ensures clear visibility of the dial under all lighting conditions. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (990 feet).
Presented in a sunray-brushed grey finish, the dial of the new Oris Aquis Date Relief offers a refined, contemporary look that complements both strap options. The brushed texture gives it a sense of movement and depth, adapting well to changing light conditions and offering a touch of elegance to this otherwise sporty diver. At 6 o’clock, a discreet date aperture is seamlessly integrated into the design, color-matched to the dial to avoid visual disruption. A vibrant red lollipop-style central seconds hand adds a dynamic accent, echoing the optional red rubber strap and injecting a touch of summer-ready energy.
Applied hour markers and the hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent low-light legibility without overpowering the dial’s balanced aesthetics.
