Not long after the buzz of Watches & Wonders 2025, Omega discreetly added another high-end piece to the Seamaster Diver 300M family. Executed in proprietary 18K Moonshine™ gold, it combines a black ceramic bezel with a matching laser-engraved wave-pattern dial for a bold, classic contrast. This quietly launched model retains all the technical credentials of the steel edition, yet stands apart with its radiant yellow-gold case, making it a summer-season statement piece for those who want their dive watch to gleam both underwater and on land.
The 42mm case is made from Omega’s proprietary 18K Moonshine gold, offering a pale, elegant yellow-gold hue that retains its luster over time. It features brushed case flanks, polished bevels, and lyre-shaped lugs, paired with a unidirectional rotating bezel in black polished ceramic. The bezel’s 60-minute diving scale is filled using Omega’s Ceragold process, fusing gold seamlessly into the ceramic surface. Dimensions remain consistent at 13.72 mm in thickness and 49.93 mm lug-to-lug, maintaining the robust yet balanced Diver 300M profile.
The reverse side presents a screwed exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal, affording a full view of the Calibre 8801’s decorated movement. The gold balance bridge and rotor are immediately noticeable, reflecting the premium nature of this variant. Surrounding engravings detail the model’s specifications, emphasizing its professional capabilities despite the precious-metal construction.
A screw-in crown in matching Moonshine gold sits at 3 o’clock, while the helium escape valve at 10 o’clock reinforces the watch’s tool-watch credentials. On the front, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures clarity under all lighting conditions. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (1,000 feet).
The black polished ceramic dial delivers a dramatic, high-contrast aesthetic that pairs seamlessly with the pale tones of the Moonshine gold case. Its laser-engraved wave pattern provides a textured interplay with light, offering both visual depth and a sense of movement across the dial. The absence of contrasting date wheels at 6 o’clock ensures a clean, uninterrupted flow.
Moonshine gold skeleton hands and applied indices create a striking contrast against the deep black surface. The central seconds hand carries a white-tipped counterbalance, maintaining subtle visibility without distracting from the overall monochrome elegance. The composition stays true to the Diver 300M’s balanced, symmetrical layout.
For night-time or underwater use, both the hands and hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova, emitting a bright and lasting glow. The cool luminous tone stands out vividly against the dark ceramic surface, preserving legibility while reinforcing the watch’s dual personality as both a luxury timepiece and a capable dive instrument.
