Omega Seamaster Diver 300M iN 2024
Omega has expanded its renowned Seamaster Diver 300M collection for 2024, introducing a series of timepieces that embrace a fresh, metallic aesthetic while retaining the classic dive watch DNA. Taking inspiration from the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition seen in “No Time To Die”, these new models cater to enthusiasts seeking a blend of vintage charm and modern functionality. The launch of these watches has already captured attention, with Omega ambassador Daniel Craig showcasing a black stainless steel version at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This marked the debut of the collection, which offers four distinctive designs emphasizing stainless steel construction and bold new dial and bezel configurations. The Seamaster Diver 300M models feature 42 mm stainless steel cases with a thickness of 13.8 mm, offering a sleek yet robust design. Retaining the classic Seamaster silhouette, the cases combine brushed and polished finishes, enhancing the collection’s sporty and versatile aesthetic. Each model is topped with a unidirectional rotating bezel, available in either black oxalic anodized aluminium with a white diving scale or Grade 5 titanium with a laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief.Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 is visible, showcasing Omega’s meticulous finishing. The rotor and bridges are adorned with Geneva waves in arabesque, adding a touch of refinement to this high-performance movement. The transparent caseback also emphasizes the watch’s certification as a METAS-approved Master Chronometer, underscoring its precision and reliability. It comes equipped with a knurled screw-in crown, tucked away between a pair of sleek crown guards. Finally completing the design is a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment applied exclusively to its inner surface, providing excellent legibility. Water-resistance can reach 300 meters (1,000 feet). In terms of dial design the black version features a laser-engraved aluminium dial with the collection’s signature wave pattern, complemented by rhodium-plated, skeletonised hands and applied hour markers. The brushed PVD stainless steel dial on the titanium-bezel model offers a more industrial look, contrasting polished, skeletonised hands and indexes. Both variations incorporate subtle yet striking accents that enhance their aesthetic appeal. On the black dial, white markings, including the Omega logo and minute track, are sharply transferred, while the titanium-bezel model showcases black transfer print for added contrast. Notably, the dials forgo the date aperture, streamlining the design and reinforcing their focus on essential timekeeping. To ensure legibility in all conditions, the hands, hour markers, and diving scale are treated with white Super-LumiNova. The luminescent material emits a vibrant glow, ensuring optimal visibility in low-light environments and completing the dial’s functional and sporty aesthetic.
