Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial Chronometer 41 MM iN Blue Summer

As August rolls out, so do all these new releases to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Omega’s Seamaster collection with the “Summer Blue” collection. If 38mm is too small for you, and especially if you’d like to have the iconic teakwood motif dial in this new proprietary blue hue. Then the time-date Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial Chronometer, might be a great choice for those seeking a timepiece that fits nearly any occasion. The 41 mm is made out of stainless-steel with a near fully polished finish, although a look at the integrated bracelet immediately breaks this flow with vertically brushed side links. Mounted to the symmetrical case is also a steel bezel with a mirror-like polished finish. A difference of 3 mm although minor on paper, actually brings a much more robust presence to this version. On the flip-side is a stamped commemorative Seamaster logo depicting a trident-bearing Poseidon and two seahorses. This was OMEGA’s 1956 original design which the brand has currently reinstated. It comes equipped with a knurled screw-in crown. All topped by a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water-resistance can reach up to 150 meters (500 feet).Time is told on these hues with rhodium-plated wedge-style hour index markers. Followed by a ring of smaller minute index markers with double-digit Arabic numerals in a silvery white color.A hallmark of this model is the horizontal-striped teakwood pattern reminiscent of luxury yacht decks and indexes shaped like sailboats. Plus the brands press-release highlights the tech involved because “The teak pattern dial, in OMEGA’s own Summer Blue, is sun-brushed, PVD-treated, and varnished with a gradient finish to reflect the watch’s level of water resistance.”The rhodium-plated central hands and hour index markers have all been fitted with a unique light blue Super-LumiNova coating, for an enhanced legibility. There is also a tone-on-tone date window at the 6 o’clock position, which allows the serene blue hue to stand uninterrupted.
