The 39mm case, with a thickness of 11.7mm, is made of Omega’s proprietary Bronze Gold alloy, combining 9k gold with copper, palladium, and silver. This special alloy gives the watch a vintage feel while ensuring it won’t develop the typical patina of ordinary bronze alloys.
On the flipside is a solid caseback in Bronze Gold, featuring a relief logo of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games along with the model reference “BG 859”.
All topped by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, the watch ensures optimal readability in various lighting conditions. The construction provides water resistance up to 30 meters (100 feet).
Time is exhibited on a solid sterling silver dial with a striking “sector” design, featuring a Clous de Paris guilloche pattern in the center and a concentrically brushed chapter ring. The dial’s vintage aesthetic is enhanced by the 1930s-style Omega logo. The choice of sterling silver represents the second place medal in the Olympics, linking the watch’s design to the prestigious event.
The hands are crafted from 18k Sedna gold and PVD-coated in Bronze Gold, symbolizing the first and third place Olympic medals respectively. This provides a subtle yet elegant contrast against the silver dial, enhancing both the watch’s readability and its visual appeal.
