Omega De Ville Prestige iN 2020
Last year Omega released several updates to their “De Ville Prestige” collection, but 2020 is already getting a follow-up. So, for those that still hadn’t found a match for their desires, you just might be in luck. These releases showcase a whole new dial concept with an elegant textured design. Overall it has gained a subtle vintage look, while also maintaining a very solid contemporary dress watch feel.
The 39.5mm case is available in either: stainless-steel, or a two-tone steel and 18k red gold option. All have a solid case back with a vertically-brushed finish, which has been embossed with the God Chronos medallion.
Mounted to the case is a smooth polished bezel. It comes equipped with a push/pull setting-crown. The case design leads up to lugs that integrate with the link bracelet providing a secure wrist fit.
All topped by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water resistance on this watch can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).
Time is exhibited on a black or white-silvery dial with the even Roman numerals: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12; plus small dotted spheres for the odd numbers; all applied in steel or gold (varies by option). While circling around the periphery of the dial is a railroad-motif minute track.
Each dial has a grain-structured overall finish that adds a tactile quality to the classic, elegant design of these new De Ville Prestige additions.
The central leaf-shaped hour and minute hands with rounded tips are crafted out of steel or gold (on the two-tone model). It also includes a transferred Omega logo Ω on the upper-half of the dial and a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position.
Omega De Ville Prestige
The “Omega De Ville Prestige” (References below) is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 2500 with 27 jewels, 11 1/2 lignes and 25,200 vph. It was based on the Omega 1120, which is a derivative of the popular ETA 2891-A2 movement. Power reserve on this timepiece can last up to 48 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to theses watches is a steel or two-tone (steel & gold) 7-link bracelet, secured to the wrist by a deployment buckle. For more up to date information, visit the official Omega website here to see the full range of this collection.
