Omega Constellation Gent’s Collection

One way of thinking suggests that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”; while another saying states “there is always room for improvement”. Omega seems to have chosen the later, as they roll out the 5th generation of their “Gent’s Collection”. A grand total of 13 new and improved timepieces have been added to this classic line-up, available in various metal options and alluring dial tones. These watches all come in a 39mm case that can be had made out of: 18k Sedna Gold, stainless-steel, 18k yellow gold or in mixed two-toned versions. On flip side we encounter a sapphire exhibition case back, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement.

Mounted to the watch is a bezel match each version case material, which has been engraved Roman numerals. It also comes equipped with a setting-crown engraved with the Omega logo. All topped by a doomed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment in both sides. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet). The dials are also available in a wide variety of colors and textures, which includes: black, grey, silver, blue, brown, gold and white. Time is exhibited with tower-inspired hour index markers that are gold, blued or blackened (diamond hour-markers are available for this collection), followed by a ring of small printed minute markings, circling the periphery of the dial. Some of these dials, such as the blue and grey versions have textured finishes, which attribute them with a more unique look. The upper-half of each dial also feature the Omega logo and the “Constellation” inscription with a cursive font, while the lower-half includes its iconic applied “star” in gold or steel. There is also a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position.
