Officine Panerai Luminor Marine Blu Note

After the brand’s Laboratorio D’Idee established its carbontech alloy as a solid and unique casing, Panerai has begun to strategically manufacture occasional limited edition model lines. This most recent release come in the form of the “Officine Panerai Luminor Marine Blu Note”. Unlike the previous Carbotech pieces that all used black dials with blue lume, this version fuses a blue dial with green lume. The 44mm case is made of Carbotech™ which is a proprietary alloy Panerai has applied to their collections several times in recent years. This material is produced via a production technique based on the integration of carbon fiber elements with polymer parts known as “polyether ether ketone”, which are all put under a specific temperature and pressure to obtain this end result.Mounted to the case is a matching fixed Carbotech bezel with similar ingrained finishing patterns. On the flip-side is a titanium case back that enclose beneath one of Panerai’s workhorse movements since 2016, caliber P.9010.It comes equipped by the Luminor Marina style winding crown protection with the setting-crown nestled within, which also includes a lowering lever. All topped by a sapphire crystal that also assists with water-resistance reaching up to 300 meters (1,000 feet).Time is exhibited on a blue sun-brushed dial with rectangular hour index markers and the Arabic numerals: 6, 9 and 12. The “Officine Panerai Luminor Marine Blu Note” (Ref#: PAM01664) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber P.9010 with 31 jewels, 13¾ lignes, 200 components and 28,800 vph. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 72 hours (3 days), when fully wound.

Mounted to the watch is a dark blue alligator leather strap with a black underling, and a tone on tone stitching, secured to the wrist by a trapezoidal pin buckle.
