Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Goldtech™ Blu Notte
During the latest Watches & Wonders 2021 we were greeted with several steel editions of the "Luminor Chrono" that also debuted the new in-house caliber P.9200 movement. Now Officine Panerai returns with the same complications in a Goldtech™ version and a beautiful blue dial. The nocturnal hue of this dial even manages to stand out more amongst its shinny gold framed enclosure.
The 44mm cushion-shaped case is made of 18k rose gold, or more specifically Panerai’s own proprietary Goldtech™, while mounted to the case is a contrasting polished gold bezel.
Unlike the previous steel versions which were crafted with solid case backs, Panerai has switched its approach for the gold release. Instead this model features a sapphire exhibition case back, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement. This crystal has also been decorated with a wave pattern and the "OP" logo.
It comes equipped two pushers to operate the chronograph functions and the iconic Panerai winding crown protected by the classic bridge lever device patented by the brand in the 1950’s. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which assists with water-resistance on these watches reaching up to 100 meters (330 feet). 
Time is exhibited on a blue sun-brushed sandwich dial with hour index markers and the Arabic numerals 6 and 12; followed by a ring of smaller white printed minute index markers, with slightly bigger makings for each 5-minute increment. 
Near the periphery circling the circumference of the dial is an orange colored tachymeter and knot scale. There are also two sub-dials with gold hands: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and sub-seconds at the 9 o’clock position. 
The Goldtech™ central hands, hour index markers, Arabic numerals, and sub-dial hands have all been fitted with a luminescent coating, for an enhanced legibility. 
Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Goldtech™ Blu Notte
The “Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Goldtech™ Blu Notte” (Ref#: PAM01111) are powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement caliber P.9200 with 17 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes and 28,800 Vph. It comes equipped with a Glucydur® balance and Incabloc® anti-shock device. Power reserve can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to the watch is a dark blue alligator scaled strap with exposed stitching, secured to the wrist by an Goldtech™ buckle. For more up to date information visit the official Officine Panerai website here.
