Panerai pushes its legacy of extended power reserves to new heights with the Panerai Luminor 31 Giorni, a bold limited edition capable of running for a full month on a single wind. Rooted in the brand’s historic focus on endurance and military-grade functionality, this new release introduces a 31-day power reserve to the Luminor collection for the first time, combining technical innovation with a distinctly modern, skeletonised aesthetic.
The Luminor 31 Giorni is housed in a substantial 44mm case crafted from Panerai’s proprietary Goldtech™, an alloy enriched with copper for a warmer hue and platinum for added durability. The case features a brushed finish with a contrasting polished bezel, maintaining the bold and utilitarian identity of the Luminor line.
On the reverse, a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the complex architecture of the movement, including the four mainspring barrels required to achieve the extraordinary power reserve. The screwed construction ensures robustness while offering a clear view of the mechanical innovation within.
At 3 o’clock sits the signature Panerai crown-protecting bridge, reinforcing the watch’s tool-watch heritage. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the overall construction balances durability with high-end finishing. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).
The dial adopts a skeletonised layout, exposing key elements of the movement and emphasising the technical nature of this edition. A rehaut with minimal markings at 12 and 6 o’clock frames the display, maintaining legibility despite the openworked design.
Key indications include a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, a curved power reserve indicator, and a discreet date display at 3 o’clock, visible through a patented polarised disc system. This approach keeps the dial clean while still offering full functionality.
Depth is inherent to the layered architecture, with bridges, gears, and barrels forming part of the visual composition. The hands and markers are treated with Super-LumiNova X2, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions while complementing the contemporary design.

The ”Officine Panerai Luminor 31 Giorni” (Ref#: PAM01631) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber P.2031/S with 25 jewels, 276 components, and 21,600 vph. It comes equipped with a four-barrel architecture, torque limiter system for stable energy delivery, jump-set hour function, and skeletonised construction. Power reserve can last up to 744 hours (31-days), when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is a black alligator leather strap, complemented by an additional black rubber strap, both fitted with Panerai’s PAM Click Release System™ for quick, tool-free changes. The large case size and substantial presence are balanced by the strap options, offering versatility between refined and sporty wear.
