New York City is gearing up for an exciting weekend of watchmaking, as three major events bring collectors, enthusiasts, and some of the industry’s most interesting brands together in the heart of Manhattan.
From October 16 to 18, 2026, the Windup Watch Fair, WatchTime New York, and The HYPE NYC will offer visitors an opportunity to discover new releases, explore exceptional timepieces, and meet the people behind them.

As a New York-based watch retailer, Element iN Time is always pleased to see the city’s watch community come together. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, an aspiring enthusiast, or simply curious about the world of mechanical watches, this weekend promises something worth exploring. Better yet, all three events are taking place within walking distance of one another in Midtown Manhattan, making it possible to experience three distinct sides of contemporary watchmaking in a single weekend.

Windup Watch Fair NYC 2026
October 16–18 | Center415, 415 Fifth Avenue | Free Admission
Organized by Worn & Wound, the Windup Watch Fair has established itself as one of the most accessible and enthusiast-friendly watch exhibitions in the United States. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse selection of brands, the event offers visitors an opportunity to explore watchmaking without the formality often associated with luxury exhibitions.

This year’s New York edition promises to be its largest yet, with more than 160 participating brands, ranging from established manufacturers to emerging independent watchmakers and microbrands. Among the notable exhibitors are Bremont, Christopher Ward, Oris, Bulova, and Brew, alongside numerous smaller manufacturers presenting their latest creations. Visitors can expect new releases, exclusive introductions, and opportunities to speak directly with the people responsible for designing and producing the watches.
Beyond the exhibition stands, Windup will feature demonstrations, discussions, and interactive experiences designed to bring enthusiasts closer to the craft of watchmaking. Perhaps its greatest appeal is its accessibility. Admission is completely free, and no registration is required, making Windup an excellent starting point for anyone interested in exploring the watch world.
Opening Hours: Friday and Saturday, 12 PM–6 PM + Sunday, 12 PM–5 PM

WatchTime New York 2026
October 16–18 | Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway | Ticketed Admission
For those interested in luxury watchmaking, sophisticated complications, and exceptional craftsmanship, WatchTime New York offers a different experience. Returning to the historic Gotham Hall, the event brings together an impressive selection of established Swiss manufacturers, prestigious independent watchmakers, and some of the most respected names in contemporary horology.

The 2026 edition features a record lineup of 48 participating brands, including Zenith, Blancpain, Chopard, Parmigiani Fleurier, MB&F, H. Moser & Cie., Laurent Ferrier, and Ulysse Nardin. Visitors will have the opportunity to examine remarkable timepieces up close, including watches featuring intricate complications, innovative mechanical constructions, and distinctive approaches to traditional watchmaking. The event begins on Friday evening with an exclusive VIP reception, followed by general admission sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
Unlike Windup, WatchTime requires tickets, and demand has been particularly strong this year. With Friday VIP and Saturday admission currently sold out, interested visitors should check the event’s official website for the latest Sunday ticket availability.

The HYPE NYC 2026
October 16–18 | The Draper Hotel, 4–6 West 37th Street | Free Admission
Rounding out the weekend is The HYPE NYC, a smaller and more intimate gathering dedicated to independent watchmaking. Taking place at The Draper Hotel, just a short walk from Windup, The HYPE offers enthusiasts an opportunity to discover brands that might not always receive the attention of larger manufacturers.

The participating lineup includes independent names such as Sartory Billard, Ollech & Wajs, Isotope, Minase, GoS, Sherpa, and Carl Suchy & Söhne, among others.
What makes The HYPE particularly appealing is the opportunity for direct interaction with the people behind these watches. Rather than navigating a large exhibition floor, visitors can explore individual collections, discuss design philosophies, and learn more about the craftsmanship and creative decisions that distinguish smaller watchmaking companies.
For collectors interested in discovering something different, or simply exploring the independent side of the industry, The HYPE provides a worthwhile addition to the weekend’s itinerary. Admission is free, making it another accessible destination for watch enthusiasts visiting Manhattan.
Opening Hours: Friday through Sunday, 9 AM–4 PM
