Girard-Perregaux returns to Formula 1 for the 2026 season through a new partnership with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, marking the collaboration with two special editions of its iconic Laureato collection. Following previous partnerships with Ferrari and Aston Martin, the Swiss manufacture now introduces the Laureato Williams Edition 42mm, a stainless steel time-and-date model inspired by the Williams FW48 racing car. Featuring a distinctive Williams blue dial with red accents, the watch combines the Laureato’s integrated-bracelet design, first introduced in 1975, with the visual identity of one of Formula 1’s most established teams.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Williams Edition 42mm is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter and 10.68mm thick. Its distinctive octagonal bezel sits above the rounded case middle, preserving the geometric architecture that has defined the Laureato collection since its introduction in 1975. The integrated bracelet continues the flowing profile of the case, reinforcing the sporty character of this Formula 1-inspired edition.

A sapphire crystal caseback provides a view of the automatic caliber GP1800, while a metallized Williams emblem identifies the watch as part of the new collaboration. The transparent construction allows the movement to remain visible while incorporating a subtle reference to the Atlassian Williams F1 Team.

The crown is positioned at 3 o’clock, allowing the wearer to wind the movement and adjust the time and date. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, complemented by the sapphire crystal caseback. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).

The defining feature of the Laureato Williams Edition 42mm is its Williams blue dial, inspired by the livery of the team’s FW48 Formula 1 car. The surface features the collection’s traditional embossed Clous de Paris pattern, creating a textured background that contrasts with the rhodium-plated hands and applied hour markers. A discreet Williams “W” emblem occupies the 12 o’clock position, identifying the collaboration without significantly altering the Laureato’s established design.

Red accents inspired by the Williams FW48’s distinctive keyline introduce a subtle contrast against the blue dial, while the date display features a matching blue disc for a more cohesive appearance. The central hour, minute and seconds hands retain the familiar arrangement of the Laureato’s time-and-date models, preserving the clean and symmetrical character of the dial.

The interplay between the embossed Clous de Paris pattern and the rhodium-plated hands and markers gives the dial additional depth, while the blue surface changes character as light moves across its textured finish. The restrained use of red and the Williams emblem provide the Formula 1 connection without overwhelming the traditional Laureato design.
